Anyone notice the trend of teague really being out for extended time? Is it just me or are they going to Schroeder longer and longer?

Checked in at dinner, saw we were down 20 pts, figured it was a lost night. Come back, turn the game on, we're tied... and then win.

Good times - old Hawks woulda lost by 35.

Game Analysis:

Before I even start. Holy freaking crap. What. A. Game. Okay now I can begin..

. I will be first the to admit that I thought this game was a lost cause at the end of the 1st quarter. In JUST the 1st quarter the celtics were shooting a ridiculous 77%, Rondo had nearly 10 assists, and they were out rebounding us something like 11-1 or 12-1 i think. Any time you give up 42 points in the 1st quarter it's almost a guaranteed loss.

. One name. Kyle Korver. This guy was literally our saving grace. He played the role of Jesus tonight and the rest of the Hawks were his 12 disciples. What really amazes me about Kyle is that he is the true definition of the term "deadeye shooter". His first couple of threes he burned Bradley off the screens and made him pay. Then for the rest of the night guys like Bradley, Green, and Turner were getting a hand up after the screens and doing only what any other defender would be able to do BUT Korver was still making them pay and was getting off his threes with an inch of space. True Deadeye.

. Fight. Fight. Fight. I can't say enough how proud I am of these guys. Being able to overcome a 23 point deficit speaks volumes about your squad. These guys have so much hustle in them it's just up to them whether they want to bring it night in and night out. Opening half it looked like every guy on our side of he floor wasn't even interested in basketball. No hustle, no effort, laziness, and missing shots. 2nd half comes along and every one of these guys come out with a fire lit under them. If we can control our effort/hustle more consistently then we will become a dangerous group come playoffs.

. Kent Bazemore. Anybody else get goosebumps after that monster dunk? I know we all bash on him but the kid has so much athleticism and hustle in him. It's really up to our coaches to help him get to that next step in his career.

. Trust. I was shocked Bud played Dennis the whole 4th. Teague was really playing well that 3rd as was Dennis. What I really loved though was Teague cheering Dennis on from the bench. Not a lot of guys will give the player who is stealing their minutes praise. Dennis is coming along so well.

. We still were killed on the boards tonight and lost the rebounding battle by 10-12 I think but I love that our guys stayed in this the whole way through. Such a great game.

Great comeback win!!!

Korver wins the game ball, its great when we see Korver dominate and becomes selfish and take over games. but boy, Dennis also had a great game, he played like a vet down the stretch.

I get really happy every time I remind myself that Dennis Schroeder is 21. He's going to be a helluva player. The progress he has shown this year is exciting.

Nice comeback for the home team. I was getting agitated after seeing us down so much in the 1st. As was Coach Bud. Glad to see our guys pick up the slack in the 2nd.

We gotta do something about the rebounding/interior defense. It's gone from troubling trend to full blown problem.

Korver played dynamite tonight. His game is predicated on hard work, precision and IQ. It's really a sight to see a guy like that thrive in our system.

Dennis the Menace is the real deal, guys. This guy is eating into Teague's minutes pretty consistently.

I suspect one of two things is happening:

A. Bud is inflating Dennis's minutes to inxcrease his trade value.

B. Bud is transitioning PT and responsibility to the young guy.

Both guys are playing well. Teague's having a nice season so far, but Schroeder's growth is undeniable.

Big matchup tomorrow. MIA v ATL.

Great win! Dennis is looking better and better. Kyle is a beast.
If it counts luck is worth the same as skill

Flashbacks of this game against the Celtics two years ago: where the Hawks fought back from down 20 and then down 10 (in the 4th) behind Kyle Korver's amazing shooting.

I went to this one.
The first half was brutal obviously but the second half was nothing but exciting.
I enjoyed myself very much.

Letting the winning continue.
