Maybe they just defended it really well?

Nah. KOQ looked at only Harris the last 3 sec before he passed it. If they defended it well, then it's JV's fault.

I'm so blown right now....I saw that Curry shot coming all the way just by how Tobias was backpedaling. Its not his fault though. We have to learn how to close these type of games. So pissed. Screw Klay

So painful to watch JV in this post game interview. He reminds me of a youth basketball league coach. Give me Borrego and I'd be ecstatic

Ah. Curry did a small shimmy and shook Harris out of his shoes. Harris has to get better at defense.

What the hell? It didn't matter in the 2nd half... He only took one shot and the Magic were up by as many as 9...

You can complain for his first half, but you would have to complain about Fournier/Gordon/Frye as well... It didn't come down to him. it came down to a great team making the great plays when needed.

Man, that guy Oladipo had a whale of a game. Didn't realize how good he is. He really showed himself against the supposed best backcourt in the NBA, Looks good for you guys future. Your coach did a great job too.

Thought I'd leave this here a response to my post on the GS board. Especially the last part :)

I know you mean well but no, just no.

Anytime someone comes in and try to give you a compliment on a heartbreaking loss it just sounds like your gloating. I'm probably the only one that thinks that but these types of compliments hurts when it means to calm the situation.

I'm glad i stayed up and won't nitpick this or that because this came down to one play and you can nitpick which one it was but they just shot lights out at the end and we didn't quite do enough. Just one more shot, or one more rebound, or not fouling this guy or not doing this or that...it's too much. We took one of the best teams in the NBA to the wire after getting blown out by them a few days ago. I can live with this L. Hopefully they didn't leave it all on that court and will have something for LA tomorrow.

Just ignore the Willie Green apologists. Dude sucks, might as well play 4 vs 5 instead of putting him on the floor.

So the fact that it was Steph Curry on him doesn't matter? Cmon man, a PF defending possibly the most crafty PG in the league. If you insist on pointing the finger, point it at our PG who should have picked him up...

Either way, im really proud of this team. Great game regardless of the outcome. Sucks it had to end in such a crushing way...

No, that play is totally on Harris. Don't know why you're defending him here. This has nothing to do with a matchup problem. All Harris had to do is stay close to Curry and force him to not shoot a 3, but instead he gives him a big gap. Curry probably would have just drove past him and made a layup because he is much faster, but there was no reason why Harris should have gave the best 3 point shooter in the NBA that much room. Normally we are too critical on Harris' defense, but that was terrible and he deserves to be called out. Also, Payton couldnt have picked him up, he was down at the other end after taking a shot. It was Harris who was responsible to pick up the man in transition.

And if he was right up on him and got a wide open layup, you would be here getting on him for not showing any resistance on the Curry drive to the hoop.

Tobias froze on the Curry hesitation, we know Tobias isn't the best of defender.

a) I also, in hindsight, would rather have fouled Curry right away to at least ensure an overtime opportunity.

b) I had a feeling we were going to lose this anyways in the 4th quarter and here is why...

Oladipo hits a wing three from a drive and dish by Payton. The Magic's lead increases to 9. As Oladipo backpedals from the timeout that was called and heads to the Magic bench...he repeatively, and consistently yells "WHOOOOOOO" at least 5 times in a row. It was loud enough that I could distinctively hear it from my low volume TV. I know for a fact each and every one of the Warrior's players heard him as well in disgust.

I knew that show of cockiness and early celebration would come back and bite us in the behind....Karma always does. If anyone recorded this game, go back and see that Curry, once he hits the game winning three, DELIBERATELY yells "WHOOOOO" over and over again systematically like Oladipo did earlier.

I hope Oladipo learns his lesson, and to be as humble as he is advertised to be. Sometimes it comes back and bites you in the behind in sports when you act out of your ordinary line, especially when its in a form of early celebration.

And if nobody thinks I'm telling the truth, go back and watch your T-Vo or rerun.

There was a big gap even before Curry made a move, which made falling for that move even more terrible. Seriously, all Harris needed to do is run right at Curry with his hands up and get close, then let him drive past him. Why is that so hard for some people on here to understand? Curry made a big shot and deserves credit for that, but you have to do everything possible to not give Curry that shot and I don't think Harris did that.

He was at Curry's mercy there. I'm really not dwelling on that part of it.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I'm quite calm and content but I did feel a twinge of rage to see Curry grinning and shimmying like a fool at the end, and of course the basketball writers going nuts about him on Twitter.

Oh well. Respect must be earned. This crew will get there.
