Lance Stephenson?
Suns need high BB IQ players and shooters.. not another ball dominant guard.

What is the word on Tyler Ennis' value? Heard he is being shopped around I can't see it being super high maybe a first and prospect or for a team to take back a bad deal

I for one, hope he stays long term with the Suns.
He's the only true pass first point guard PHX has currently.
When Isaiah, Bledsoe or (gulp) Goran get moved (gulp again) to shift the talent balance towards the frontline, Tyler is likely going to be an important cog.
You "heard he's being shopped around" ...can you elaborate?

Re: Official Trade Thread: Two drink minimum
The Suns know they need a 5.
The Suns also would probably be open to trading in 1 of their 3 all star caliber point guards for a legit 2.
First team to have a firesale on a all-star caliber 2 guard or athletic and consistent 10/10 center (or better) may be able to pry away one of Dragic/Bledsoe/Thomas + a draft pick + one of our young players with potential.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Two drink minimum
Just offer Plumlee + Ennis + a pick to DET for Monroe and call it a day
I'd even offer IT for Monroe, maybe make expand it a bit and send Jennings to a team that could use him where he's suited, as a scorer off the bench. How about:
IThomas, Terry, NJohnson to DET
Monroe to PHX
Jennings, Ennis to HOU
Or how about:
IThomas + filler (Datomi, Anthony) to NYK
Calderon + Shumpert to DET
Monroe + Acy to PHX
Lance doesn't solve our problems, we need a legit C or a 'complete' SF - Lance is a complete something, but he's not a SF.
His percentages are awful, he's already shown he's not exactly 'team first', and there's just too much knucklehead in him for my liking.
There's gotta be a few trades brewing, won't really kickoff until Dec 15!

That would make for a very bad day. You do realize that we'd be giving up Ennis, Plumlee and a pick to rent a guy for part of one season? And a very overrated guy at that. There is a reason that Detroit has only won 3 games this season.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Two drink minimum
I have been knocked before for the thought and still think JJ Hickson would be a good fit here as a pf. Has a post game has great hands (Plumlees curse) tenacious, energetic, rebounds the ball, is a finisher at the rim, would flourish with our guards spoon feeding him in this system. Not to mention he has the size strength and speed to slide to C when we go small ala Amare. Denver needs to cut salary also.

Why does Denver give him up? Just salary? What do you think they want and need, now that they are finally coming around?

JJ Hickson is absolutely terrible. One of the worst players in the league.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Two drink minimum
Hickson production on the stat sheet doesn't correlate to wins because he's such a huge negative on defense (he's easily worse than Amare on that end and it's not even close). Hickson's a PF version of Beasley. He puts up stats but at the same time he's a huge detriment to his team.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Two drink minimum
Yeah Zach Lowe had a quick piece on Hickson in a recent pod, said something like Hickson was absolutely awful and his rebounding is so midleading because he is like Lance/Love - snagging rebounds to pad his stats.
These are who I want - we'd have to sell the farm and get really lucky obviously.
MGasol and Noah aren't going anywhere this year so I didn't list those two obvious options, but I think Horford could be attainable for the right price, though he'd still cost a bit.
Derrick Favors - love his motor, athleticism and D. UTA would move Kanter before him though
Horford - perfect fit besides MGasol. Doubt ATL listen unless we include Len or LAL pick, along with one of the PGs
DJordan - something tells me he could be had for the right price, but that'd probably be Len, LAL pick and Tucker, which is too much considering he's a FA end of the year
Options that would cost a decent amount, not necessarily long-term options either:
Gibson - obviously an awesome defender, underrated scorer and friendly deal. Mirotic is waiting (and commanding) minutes already
Monroe - does 2/3 of what we need - inside scoring and rebounding, but horrible interior D
Sullinger - love his game as a rebounding + stretch 4/5, not a bad shot-blocker either
Sanders - something about him is still appealing, I just think he's not worth the hassle though at that price
Dieng - they'd move Pekovic before him if they could, but I love his defensive orientated game and quirky offensive moves
Cheaper options/short-term upgrades:
Henson - he's rotting there in MIL, would love him and he'd start ahead of Plumlee right away
Mozgov - vastly underrated on both ends, he can even make the odd 3 and is a good shot-blocker/makes his FTs
O'Quinn - love his game. Awesome team first guy, bruiser, very good shot-blocker as well
And to think how cheap Tyson Chandler was for the Mavericks to snag, he'd have been perfect.
Either way, we're not making the playoffs with this current lineup and 3x PG rotation. Last night Bled and Dragic were AWESOME, cos they knew there was no threat of IT coming in, getting hot, and staying in. I can't believe I'm saying it but it's almost a bad thing that IT is as good as he is!

Well we can't say that Dragic and Bled played better because they knew IT wasn't coming in. They didn't in the other games without IT.
But I love the idea of grabbing O'Quinn.

Re: Official Trade Thread: Two drink minimum
I'd be fine with O'Quinn starting at 5, he's really well-rounded. Nice one, Tastic. He's a star in the making.
But im still looking for Biyombo, this guy would add a real o-rebounder for this team, imagine green chucking for 3 and biyombo going for the rebound EVERYTIME and getting it. You can forget him in offense, he'll provide his stats just with his o-reb and easy dunks, like Chandler for example.
Maybe we could try to snag Gobert too, before he realizes his potential. He's like biyombo, but he's EVEN BIGGER. A true 7-footer that can run the court, defend the rim tirelessly and a freakin' good rebounder. But this would be a real longshot. Jazz already know what this guy can do.

O Quinn is the best name I've seen mentioned. Hadn't thought of him. He get blocks, rebounds and passes well. Great size. They could use a guy like Thomas too, considering Payton doesn't score and needs time to develop, and they don't have a ton of guards. They have Ben Gordon but only for this year (next year guaranteed). They could also absorb the salary difference. Going forward they have kind of a logjam at the 4/5 with Vucevic, Frye, Gordon, Nicholson, possibly Harris, etc.
That seems like an ideal trade partner. They even decided to not start Payton recently and have been starting Fournier. So IT could likely start for at least this year but still play a much more major role. The offense would be good too going forward considering Payton and Gordon are black holes on offense but awesome defensively.

Greg Monroe's Bird Rights will be extinguished if he gets traded.
Difficult to imagine Monroe agreeing to a trade, which he has to do. Even if he's not keen to resigning with the Pistons forfeitting his Bird Rights will likely cost him $$ like in a SnT. And reduce the number of destinations/options he'll have next summer.
If the Suns were to acquire Monroe it would be very difficult for them to resign him given their cap situation next summer...they'd need tons of cap space since Monroe would have no Bird privileges.

Kerrsed and I have been talking about O'Quinn since his draft. I think Kerrsed liked him almost as much as TWill.
But I'd rather give them the Minny first and our second rounder next year, than IT.
