Re: Oh...Cowboys at Bears
Once again, the Bears will not score 30 points. Maybe not 20. The has to be one of the most dysfunctional offenses in modern history or all these skill players are overrated. The QB goes without saying. I mean the rest of them. I don't think they are overrated myself, but what the hell?
Trestman has to be fired for this. He HAS to be.

BTW Conte is the toughest muthsucka on this team. Yes out there, giving up his body (and mind) for football, not concerned about graduations.

Cutler has had some great touch passes tonight. He needs to get his mind right. It seems like he has no confidence in his teammates so he tries to do something that shouldn't be attempted. I just want to see Cutler show improvement for the rest of the season and not make bad decisions all the time.

Re: Oh...Cowboys at Bears
This offense is leaderless and has been since Cutler arrived and the entire team is leaderless since Urlacher left .
I dont even believe Cutler sucks but he has ZERO leadership qualities and you cant get paid that much in the NFL play that position and not be .

Cutlers leadership isn't the problem, it's the bad decision making on the field.

Re: Oh...Cowboys at Bears
Let me ask you, did the fans or the team feel any urgency from Cutler during the first 3 quarters? I dont know, just asking. He looked like he was on autopilot to me, down a ton of points.
I don't know if he has a lack of ability to lead. Yet I'm not sure he is leading. Does anybody get the feeling he has fire in the belly to win that affects others? Brady? Yes. Manning? Yes. Rodgers? Yes. Wilson? Rivers? Probably. Cutler? I'm not sure. I'm not sure the team feels any pressure from him on that stuff. I used to think otherwise from seeing him from afar in Denver. I believe I was wrong upon a closer look.
Don't get me wrong, I have always been a Cutler fan. I enjoy his personality. But if you have a Cutler, you might need some other winners on the team and a coach that guys are afraid of. If your QB does not inspire the team, you have issues to overcome. If the coach also cannot do that, you might be done.

Re: Oh...Cowboys at Bears
Cutler needs multiple lieutenants because he is a little soft, sorry, but he is. I'm not talking about dealing with pain. Cutler occupies the ultimate position, but if he played any other position, he would be a simple follower. He needs a Mike Brown, Urlacher, Olin Kruetz, Tillman etc to keep everybody rowing in sync. Instead he has Brandon Marshall. Kyle Long is not enough and he is too young.

All those QBs you listed have something in common over Cutler...they have better decision making and obviously better mechanics on the field.
If Cutler had even Philip Rivers decision making and mechanics, Bears would be 8-5 right now at the very least.
All this leadership stuff and "I don't like his demenor" talk is just a sideshow to the real issues.

It may be somewhat. But I dont believe GMs and coaches agree with you. These are qualities they value at a premium. Great leaders always have that demeanor going for them instinctively. And its not just demeanor. Great leaders inspire with fear, and also fear of disapointing them through the force of their personality and quality of character.
As an aside, I was watching an NFL show the other day that had a guy, maybe it was Boomer, saying that coaches are so high on sideline demeanor they get on their QBs on the sidelines to stand up straight and hold their head up. Which I found interesting it went that far. But searching my memory, I have vague recollections being corrected on this myself in school.
