Khem Birch is more and more aware of the ball and his movements are improving. If he is serious about his NBA career then he should stay one full year playing for the D-league. Like I said before, in two years he will become a better version of Birdman. Just looking at it, you can tell that he is already making a better use of his size. If he adds 25 pounds to his young body, he will go very far in the NBA. By the way, he still could grow one more inch.

No, his growth plates are fused. He's done growing. I hope you have a source for that little tidbit. As for that other thing, weight alone isn't going to guarantee him a long career assuming he even makes a team.

With the news that Andre Dawkins has been sent down to the D-league.
Do you think he will get valuable playing time and be a factor for the Skyforce?

Of course he will. He isn't being sent down there to ride pine; if that were the case, he would be kept on the main roster. Sioux Falls will certainly utilize him as he continues to develop; with Tyler Johnson seemingly injured for the time being, the Skyforce will be needing some backcourt help. Dawkins can provide that for them right away.

This was back in August, but I thought it interesting to share. It's Tyler Johnson's workout.

Maybe I'm delusional or something, but I really feel like someone like him could latch onto this team like Dawkins did. I've been here before, but I feel as though if he can bulk up some more, perfect his standstill and off the dribble midrange game some more during his time in Sioux Falls, he'll be on this team either this year or next, and may actually have a shot at contributing at the off-guard position.

The blueprint is there; TJ simply needs to build his game to an NBA level. That preseason Spurs victory showed me a lot of what was so appealing about him in the summer, finally harnessed some if but for 25 minutes.

Well the Heat did sign him to 2 years. It's possible he is our back up SG next year considering we don't have one.

I can see Rio being our starting PG again, with Cole hopefully gone or something. Bazz, Ennis, TJ, being our bench... they have chemistry and all are young, exciting guys.

The more I see of Granger and Cole,

The more upset I get about not seeing Birch and Tyler get time with us this year.

Hopefully this year will get their confidence up

(So Spo could tear it down next year)

AMEN BROTHA!!! I been a huge supporter of Birch on this team. I think he can be our UD replacement in terms of being a PF, with a jumpshot, who is a hustler, blue-collar guy. He is an undersized C and it aint his fault these people make him a C when he is a PF.

Cole I am totally done with. He is the worse starting PG in the league. I looked it up, I'm not even hatin', he statistically is the worse starting PG lol. People like Solomon Hill (WHO?) are better than him. SHOOT some Canaan dude is better than him on the Rockets.

Cole was good when we had other players to depend on, and he was a back up. Now that we need more out of our players, just holding on to Cole makes no sense. People like Rio actually elevated their game. Cole while being given the opportunity hasnt done that besides the first game of the season (fluke game smh).

Granger... apparently his doc said he will feel normal in January. But I rather play Ennis who does more and better upside.

We should have traded Cole before the season or at the very least, after the first game. Nobody is trading for that piece of **** now.

Sioux Falls/Miami just made a move that caught even Ira's attention.

[tweet]https://twitter.com/IraHeatBeat/status/541047268355637249[/tweet]

I'll start with this: Scotty Hopson is such an 80s-sounding name to me. Alright, that's out of the way. So who is this guy? Is he worth looking at? Thank God for YouTube.

Let's see what he's all about.

Israeli League

Turkish League Highlights (13-14)

D-League Highlights (13-14)

Apparently, Miami's actually familiar with the 6'7 swingman's talents, having invited him to play for the team during Summer League 2013. Dan Craig gives a brief scouting report below.

Takeaway: Okay, so it seems like Hopson is an athletic wing that likes to attack the basket. Unlike Ennis, it appears as though Hopson has a bit of a better handle than Ennis, enabling him to attack better. It seems like he gets good elevation on his shots, extending his range out to what looks like the NBA three-point line.

Hopson's long, athletic, and (according to Dan Craig) can do some work in the post apparently. It's no wonder he caught the HEAT's attention enough to bring him to Sioux Falls. Hopson still hasn't signed with an NBA team yet.

Based on that little puff piece above, it seems like Hopson's got a decent head on his shoulders. Maybe. I look forward to seeing what he can bring to the Skyforce. Who knows, if he does well enough, he might merit a call-up to the main roster.

That's unlikely in my humble opinion, but you never know.

Honestly, in the time it took for you to post that, you could have found that out on your own.

In all honesty, I'm kind of glad they're looking at some different people to develop. They shouldve started this a season or two ago. @rexboywonder was saying in the other thread that the Heat need to go back to a more traditional style, just praying they're scouting for that Center. I think its time for some young guns to come in though.

Hey man, I was at work and I really don't fancy surfing the web on my mobile. I only check our forum and espn boxscores on it.

That being said, I checked now.

He's 25 years old.

His per game in Euroleague 13/14 are 15/4/1/1/0.5 on 62/48/73 with 2.3 TOs while playing 28.5min in 11 games.

http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=004998&seasoncode=E2013

At the bottom of the page there is a table with stats from earlier seasons. His regular season numbers with Efes don't look really good, but are much much better in Euroleague, when the competition is on a higher level.

His penis is quite big.

Hopson is a scoring Machine. I like him better as a sg. He cannot defend wings. He knows how to score and Ive been watching him since college at Tennessee. His red flags he doesnt play up to his athleticism and isnt always going 100%. Doesnt play defense like he should. Ive allways like Hopson but I like Ennis better as a prospect. Ennis does a little of everything.

We really should give Manny Harris a shot. We need another scoring option.

Has anyone been looking at Fuqua Edwin's stats with the sky force?? Dude looks like he can play, and he got ten rebounds this past game. He was defensive player of the year in college, wonder if Heat have any interest in him.

He's basically a smaller less athletic James Ennis. And with a worse jumpshot.

Birch and TJ are the only ones that might have a chance here IMO.

Scotty Hopson can score, but he does or brings nothing else. nothing. And he's not much of an outside shooter, so he'll have trouble scoring against NBA defenses where he doesn't have an athletic advantage. He's a Europe guy.

Edit - Shawn Jones is the dark horse. got some tools if he can it together.
