Yeah, I'm the guy who voted (at the top of this thread) for Ernie Grunfeld.

How much is Humphries making? And Butler? And Blair? And resigned Temple? These guys production is TREMENDOUS compared to what they earn. Spurs-esque.

Pierce comes to this team under EG, because the team looked serious last season. EG is credited with surviving an ownership change and gutting the roster to produce this team. Guys like Crawford, Blatche, Young, and McGee are elsewhere.

This team is grinding in a way that Durant has to notice. The cap looks good under EG.

Lyrical, I am not mad at you. :)

You and milellie111 are suddenly looking smart for supporting this GM.

I think the rounding out of the roster was the best EG's ever done with any team. Seems to be holding up quite well. If they can successfully transition from the Nene era to the Durant era, could be a contender here.

Lyrical Rico has always looked smart, but even Einstein was notoriously bad at picking an NBA winner. LR gets more credit than millieilly because he's been shining EG's shoes longer. But don't worry 111 (not to be confused with 11), if the Wizards make the ECF, you'll get your lucky gold star.

Beating the Cinnamon Twins in back-to-back games. What's JC doing tonight? Give him a call, Blatchemo.

Before I opened the thread, I was thinking - can we vote for the entire team? And somehow, that's one of the choices. I love this board.

You bet Ernie gets credit here! You can't criticize a guy and have it be legit if you don't also give him credit for his successes!

Hey, results are what it's all about! We aren't having all this fun because we have a "high-character" roster!! It's because we're 13-5. Of course good character counts too (especially when you're 13-5!!), but you know what I mean, right?

Humphries and Butler have been terrific signings. Do we miss Ariza? Of course not! How you going to miss him when you have a volume 3 pt. shooter dropping them in as if they're lay ups -- 55% (not to mention 59% on 2 pts attempts!!!).

It's all good. Lets win 60 games. Lets dream. And when we wake up, lets have the dream be real!! :)

Tough to pick a potg tonight because they were all so firkin good.

For me it's Wall, Butler or Hump.

Gotta go with Hump. Just seemed like he couldn't miss.

Ras-unusual was Superman again... But a lot of his damage was done once the game was out of hand.

No doubt, Hump killed it, but then you also have to consider who gave him all those open looks...

Really hate to single out a single player in this completely dominant team effort.

I told you Grunfeld would prove doubters wrong. This roster is nasty. This team hasn't even peaked yet. Guys like TGW and others are eating crow and have been silenced. Oh well, out with the old sour pusses and in with the new positive minded fans!

Although I voted for Ernie, above, the player of the game was Wall. His defense on Lawson, a borderline all star talent, completely changed the game. He demoralized Lawson, turned him into a " stand around at the top and jack long Js" PG.

John's D can be completely stifling. He has the potential to be a faster version of Gary Payton on the defensive side of the court.

I voted "cheem" (as Nene would say) but every game thread can pretty much be John until he is no longer posting double digit assists, leading the league in steals, blocking shots, and discombobulating all opponents in transition. really the POTG votes are mostly: 'Who did John make look good today?" or "okay it's boring awarding these always to the franchise player, so who else played nice out there?"

Hump for the second game in a row. This guy is underpaid for what he brings to the table, 20 rebs one night 20 efficient points the next. I hope he keeps his starting job even if Nene is 100% healthy, he's earned it.

We're still here...always. We don't disappear and then show up when it's convenient. I will say this though, Ernie has done a fine job rebuilding the house he burnt down.
