Among safeties playing at least 75 percent of their defense's snaps, Clinton-Dix ranks fourth in the NFL with 12 catches allowed and eighth with 135 yards allowed, according to Pro Football Focus. He's one of eight safeties to not allow a touchdown this season.
Clinton-Dix's 37 yards allowed after the catch are second in the league behind only Seattle Seahawks All-Pro safety Earl Thomas."

I remember after the draft McGinn wrote a column saying he heard that Ted Thompson was dying inside as the draft was unfolding because he wanted one of CJ Mosely, Ryan Shazier, Calvin Pryor, or Dix. Then three of the four all get picked 15-18 before the Packers selection and there were still two more picks left before 21 where the Packers were at.
It would be interesting to know if Ted could have had his choice of those four guys at the time who he'd have chosen? McGinn thought it likely was Shazier, but he wasn't certain. Either way, it goes to show just what torture draft night has to be for GM's when they target certain players and then seeing them all flying off the board close to when you pick, only being left to desperately hope one of them will still be left when your pick comes up.
