Lakers Re-Assign Jordan Clarkson To D-Fenders

Post#1 » by EArl » Sun Dec 7, 2014 3:30 pm

The Los Angeles Lakers have re-assigned Jordan Clarkson to the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Clarkson will be making his third appearance with the D-Fenders and will be in uniform Saturday at 6:30 p.m. PT vs. Reno. In his first appearance vs. Texas on November 15th, Clarkson finished with 28 points, five rebounds and five assists in 37 minutes played. Clarkson also saw action in the November 22nd matchup vs. Idaho and scored 19 points, handed out a game-high 10 assists and grabbed three rebounds for the D-Fenders.

If they are not going to give him playing time, I guess the next best thing is to let him wreck d league teams.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Still in a lost season you'd think they'd prioritize giving time to their only rookie available to play.

Once again awful job at developing our draft picks. Devin Ebanks was another example of this. Why on Earth in a season where we're off we cant find Clarkson some minutes out there?

It's the Front Office's fault. They're more concerned with shaping an organizational image.

Hint... Most players (especially the young players) go out club and get loaded all the time. Ebanks just got caught that night. I just think we've been awful at developing our picks over the last decade. None of them ever stay around long either

Most players don't get sent on a sabbatical (rehab) for their drinking

Have nothing to lose giving Clarkson burn unless he's just not getting it done in practice. Lin and Price have no future here would like to see him play. Maybe towards the last portion of the season he will be able to get some action and can develop.

Yeah there's more to that Devin Ebanks story than we know. The way nobody even touched him tells you he had a problem.

Maybe he's just not physically ready for the NBA yet and they don't want Clarkson to get hurt.
He's a pretty scrawny kid.

Getting it done in practice or not, it's not like he'd play much worse than what Price and Lin are giving us anyways.

Man I do not understand how teams can even parse through D-League stats and know if a dude is worth a call up. I know they have scouts but damn they must not play defense in the D-League...141-140? Incredible.

Look at Roscoe and Manny Harris's statlines....

Oh I wasn't suggesting we sign those two, just pointing out that anyone putting that up in a semi-pro league makes you either wonder why they're not called up or just how awful the competition is.
