If I make a valid point and someone tries to shoot it down despite everything pointing to it being true I won't stop. There is no reason to back down from Noah handling the ball as well if not better than Webber at the same age.

True but I will argue until there is something that shows me otherwise. I watched one guy cross over and run a break and break down other players and the other ran in a straight line and passed great and dunked strong.

Still says Noah better on the dribble and Webber better in court vision.

even if vonleh is as good or better of a ball handler to webber at the same age, comparing the two seems a bit ridiculous. webber was lightyears more advanced in every other aspect of the game at the same age. its not fair to vonleh to put those kinds of labels on him.

Webber had a much worse shot and was about equal in rebounding. Webber was a better athlete than Noah it looks like but Noah has the bigger frame. Not really as cut and dry as you guys love to think. The only thing Webber had by a ton over Noah was court vision leading to passing everything else is a lot closer according to the numbers.

are you trying to convince us that vonleh was as good as webber as a college freshman?

I'll just agree to disagree.

No all I ever said was they had similar skill sets and size. Noah a better handler and shooter while Webber was more aggressive and a better passer. Other than that they were very similar players. Noah is more raw at the same age but shows similar promise as an excellent multifaceted big man.

The whole thing was finding a player who is close to what Noah could become. People kept throwing out guys who could not dribble and could not shoot. I found a guy who could do both. Are the exactly the same no but they are so much closer than everyone likes to think at the same age. Webber just had the hype train and an open system at Michigan in his favor.

MKG was the next Scottie Pippen as well.

we should be close to the point when we're starting a front-line of Pippen, Webber and Ben Wallace.

Jokes aside, how about the other Gator big as a comparable?

Horford?

He plays pretty below the rim, has a good solid body and has a lot to his game like power and touch?

Thats why I would play him, he is not going to learn anything on the bench. He needs to be playing at least 5-10 minutes a game now.

0-12 career from three. Man is he a shooter. There is a difference between hitting a few side spin shots from the elbow and hitting 45% from the college three point line.

Closer than Noah I guess. Noah has legit college three point range and is 1-2 so far in limited action from NBA 3. In the end he will likely split time between the top of the key and post.

As the chief advocate for the Hornets drafting Noah, I clearly want him to get minutes. He needs court time to grow his game. I believe he will bring much more than Max does, in every category.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
