Pierce had the better numbers, but Wall won the game for em.

Wall willed us to that win but Pierce had the better game and hit the three that extended the game, allowing Wall to take over.

1) Pierce
2) Wall
3) Gortat

ITs pretty close between Pierce and Wall, but I give the slight edge to Wall. He alone had the 10-2 at the end of the second OT period to win us the game. Those two And-1s had me electric sliding. Pierce is a very close second with super efficient play, big buckets, and some really good defensive sequences down the stretch. Gortat, albeit a quiet night, was I think a perfect 5-5 from the charity stripe in the two OTs, I don't think that can be overlooked in such tight game.

Hump had a solid game, especially with his jumper. Searphin was really solid in limited minutes, surprised he didn't get more burn. Beal kinda stunk this game in my opinion. I think when the offense moved to that annoying high screen action with Beal and a big things really started to go awry. He is simply not a good enough of a ball handler or passer for us to keep going back to that pick and roll with him possession after possession.

Per Hands' recommendation/request, there's a voting button for John Wall's late friend, Miyah, in the top of this post for Player of the Game.

John Wall for being a quality human being period. Link.

Was at the game obviously rooting for the Celtics but that was an unbelievable game. I love my Celtics more than anything but I'll always root for the Wizards against anyone else. Wall is so damn good not just offensively with scoring and play making but his defense is arguably the best for the point guard position. I knew before the game when they showed pictures of that little girl who passed away, **** was going to go down. Really happy for Wall, dealt with a lot of unfair criticisms his first couple of years but now is starting to become like Paul Pierce said after the game, a superstar on the rise. And of course Paul Pierce killed us all game long which doesn't surprise but it definitely hurt seeing him do it live against the Celtics. Really good game guys, looking forward to seeing the Wizards challenging whoever for the top spot in the conference and seeing more of Pierce doing work.

May John Wall win multiple championships here... Retire a local hero, and live a long fulfilling life. Young man has come so far and deserves the best. Easy to root for a really good human being.

In honor of Miyah

Classy move by our Mod Pine for adding her to the list.

Someone should tweat Wall to show him we are honoring his friend and his lose.

I voted Miyah, but John was a BEAST in OT. That one reverse layup was insane.

Every one of them was huge in some important moments but Wall was inspired and I think He was number one second Pierce and Gortat huge 3 points play in OT huge block but what is funny He was 9-9 from FT line - never ever thought by the way in this year He make most of them. Now is time to teach Nene....

Huge win great game 2 heroes Wall and Pierce and sad story R.I.P for that lil girl :(

Amazing that My Favorite Marcin finished 9-12 considering he missed three shots in the first minute of the game.

Would really have liked to see him in on a screen and roll after a timeout late.

He was only 6-12, but perfect from the FT line.
