Wizards Player of the Game -- Wiz vs Magic (12/10/14)

Post#1 » by pineappleheadindc » Thu Dec 11, 2014 2:31 am

.
A game that the good guys perhaps didn't deserve to win. But a win is a win in this league. The nominees for the Wizards Player of the Game are:

Image

PG John Wall
21 points (10-17 fg, 1-1 3pt, 0-1 ft), 11 dimes, 6 boards, 1 steal, 2 turns in 35 minutes.

Image

SG Bradley Beal
Hit winning shot with less than .8 seconds left in the game.

Image

PG Andre Miller
Winning inbound pass

Image

Head Coach Randy Wittman
Drew up winning play

WallStar- he played his second best game of the year- maybe the best when you have 11 assist and 2 turnovers.

For most of the game WallStar carried the team while they looked tired and uninterested on defense. I hope this jumpstarts beal and gets him on track. Wall shouldn't need to score the most and lead in assist- with all the scorers on the team-

Easiest of the season so far. I thought John's great effort would be in vain, glad he put the team on his back (again).

I voted Witt for drawing up that play, and he doesn't get enough credit.

I nominate Victor Olidipo for his clanker that left 0.8 on the clock....anymore and Randy would have drawn up an Iso Wall shot. Kudos to forcing him to be creative.

Otherwise Johnny Max...who has been on an assist assault.

It's easy one... John Wall was decent through entire game,
Randy did some mistakes with putting Hump on last minutes instead of Gortat or Nene who played a way better, Randy will finish all games with Hump (no matter if He plays good or bad) you can count on it :/
Beal played average at best

Should be Wall. Carried the team, as usual.

But gave my vote to Witt... Cuz I may never get the chance again.

So, slap me or something. Did Randy actually just draw up a play that actually worked?

Anyone notice that Wall has been changing his game plan? Been shooting less and racking up the assists, and then taking over in the last few minutes.

Wall

Love the Tony Park esque spin move. Need Wall to live in the paint ala Parker

Witt for drawing up the play and having Miller inbound

Paul for a well timed screen

Orlando for missing the rotation

Miller for the absolutely perfect pass

Beal for the baby soft layin

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Yeah, we were just talking about it in the other thread.

Well, he comes out dishing. Then he brings his scoring more later. Like a good PG should.

Anyway, I voted team. Wall took over late. Randy made the right moves late. Nene kicked it in pretty good. And that last play from calling it to putting Professor on the inbound to The Truth setting the pick to Beal making the bucket. Its was all good stuff.

Hell, Rasual even hit that late 3 and then got that turnover diving to the ground.

If not team, then Wall. 21 pts 11 assists 6 rebounds and only 2 turnovers is impressive.

Wall-Star.

Put the team on his back(doe) late once again.

Had to vote for Witt for the sheer novelty of it. Hopefully we see more of that from him.

Looks too tall for a random fan -- maybe it's someone we traded for late last night? Could this be a scoop?
