More options on Dec. 15th.

Ok. And here they are. Some are still free agents. Which one of these guys was signed this summer by a team to be traded to us for smith?

We can't get so enamored with what is happening right now that we don't protect what's ahead of us, so that's a concern. If we evaluate a player and see he's going to be a long-term person who is going to fit in our organization, we'll do that. But right now those things aren't jumping out

Me personally, I think the 4th guy on that list and the 15th guy on that list is who Phil is hanging this date over.

A lot of teams that play in a wide open system that need scoring for the SG/SF spot could use JR. I doubt teams that have a very structured system will be calling but wide open teams or teams really lacking scoring should be interested.

Portland
PHX
Sacramento
Lakers
Memphis maybe
Hornets
Miami
Indiana
Bucks (would be more interested in THjr I think)

there is no way a team would offer two ball racks for him...i think a team would just offer us a ball and it might be flat.

Trade everyone, not a single player I really care about on our roster.

He is. And the extra 7 mil in cap space we can get for getting rid of him is a good thing.

Both really don't have value. Not sure how anyone expects to shed JR for cap space without sweetening the pot.

clueless

THjr probably has more value than anyone on this team

all around the league people have been asking for him in trade and getting rebuked

how are you so clue free on TH?

he has a lot of flaws but the kid has talent. he's not a throw in or pot sweetener.
thinkers like you are why the knicks can never build talent

THJ having more value than anyone on the team doesn't mean much. What do you think we can get out of THJ straight up? A late 1st?

Knicks can never build talent because their talent development is piss poor.

A quick hoopshype search didn't net much but I got this from July 20th: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks ... -j-r-shump

Tim Hardaway Jr. has been deemed virtually untouchable, per a source.

I mean, not that I believe any iota of that but hey, someone wrote it so it must be true.

I don't think that option is that hateful, and frankly, a team like Portland who not only could use the bench scoring, can look to that option as a worst case scenario if Wes Matthews decides to leave in Free Agency.

Talk about a downgrade. Id trade all 3 of our SGs for Wes Mathews

I tried Wes Mathews for our 3 SGs and it said we'd gain 3 wins and they'd lose 4. I think they're underestimating how many losses those 3 can help you get

i'm sure people do call for timmy. he's young and paid very little. they'll take a chance they can improve him. but what will they give you for that chance ? some older player we don't want. a 2nd rounder. 2 if you're really lucky. you're not getting a 1st rounder for him. you're not getting much.

Yup, I'm sure the phone is ringing off the hook for Amare too as long as we are willing to take back garbage.

I think it would make the most sense is to trade Timmy along with JR to rid his contract. Get an expiring back a couple 2nd round picks and that would be a solid deal for the knicks.

Now I still believe shumpert has first round value.
