Not in that article, he doesn't. Everything in his "Five Wonders" is just a bunch of speculation meant to rile people up and start a bunch of BS. Melton will not be sitting on Sunday unless he gets injured before then. There's too much at stake in this game to be sitting your top sack getter for lack of performance reasons.

He could be on to something here then. When I first read it- I thought the same thing you as well as anyone else would think. Then I thought about Philly and how they pounded he middle of our defense with that running game. Then on to Chicago. Cutler threw it around 50 times and Melton only played 20 plus snaps. I still think he plays Sunday but it made more sense once I thought about it.

IMO there is no line of thinking that could justify sitting Melton unless he is hurt. The biggest need on this team is a pass rush. Why in the world would we consider this?

I said I agree. Somebody has to be inactive though, now that Brent is up. Last week it was Lawrence. He is ready to go this week. I did see where Mincey missed practice yesterday due to personal reasons.

Lawrence and Brent aren't half the players that Melton is.

What I do find interesting is the VAST majority of people are picking Dallas. Philly did beat Dallas just 2 weeks ago. It would seem like a more 50/50 split but it isn't. I'm guessing its cause Philly just looked like a 2nd rate team vs. Seattle?

I'm still of the opinion that Dallas needs to attack Philly deep then get the run game going. Phillys secondary is just so bad I don't know why Dallas wouldn't attack it and get their emotional leader rolling early. I don't see Murray dominating cause Phillys front 7 has been really good. They were the only unit to play well vs Seattle and completely shut down Marshawn Lynch.

Actually, Dallas' front 7 held Lynch to 61 yards and Philly's held him to 86 yards. YPC were higher against Dallas, but that was because of one 32 yard run. Apart from that one run, Dallas pretty much shut him down.

Espn closed the gap some today with the majority going Eagles. I think it was 7-3 with 3 left to pick. Inside the NFL was 2-1 eagles. Bleacher report 11-5 Cowboys. Cbs- 5-2 cowboys. So now it's about 20- 16 Cowboys

Maybe, but Philly has given up 114/ypg rushing and we have dominated a lot of teams ranked above them. Just last week we put up just shy of 200 on Chi and they are ranked above Philly. I hope you are wrong on this one, because we are not winning if we can't run the ball.

On Lynch versus Philly I'm confused, I heard an interview where Carroll basically gave Lynch the credit for them winning the game and looking at the stats, Seattle had 188 yards rushing???

Eagles are the favorites for a reason. Who gives a darn what the talking heads think? They don't know any more than the regular fan. Worry about the guys that set the money lines if you want an indicator of how the game MAY go. Either way, game can go either way IMO, but Philly earned the favorite nod after beating the **** out of us two weeks ago.

I agree for the most part but when I'm watching ESpn and Shlereth and Woodson make their picks I'm not changing the channel to Boy MEets World. I was just letting MAlko know that it has kind of evened up some. To me it's fun to watch. I think the Redskin game was 94-0 in favor of the Cowboys so sure they can be wrong. As far as the lines go , what is it 3??? I thought the home team usually gets 2 or 3 points. If that's the case, it seems like the oddsmakers think it's pretty even.

Brent will probably be out due to injury, so we may never know.

THe Eagles didnt completely shut Lynch down. THe reason Seattle had a lot of rushing yards was because of the QB runs and Marshawn had 2 longer runs at the end of the game. THe week before the held Murray to his season low. Hope I didnt give the impression that I thought Philly has an elite run D cause they dont, but they've been playing well lately. Murray was 20 carries for 73, the week before week 14 Shankey had 37 yards, week 13 Lacey had 69, the week before the leading rusher had 36 yards. MAYBE thats cause we cant stop the pass at all!

Lol. I was more a fan of the mother than Topenga. I watched an episode a few weeks back and noticed the mom again. I looked her up to see how old she was. She is like mid 60s now I think

I so hope you are right. This game has me scared like no other. I try to get in the Christmas spirit and just can't. I sit down to watch a Christmas movie and I cut it off 15 minutes in. I can't get my mind off this game. The bad thing is 30 minutes after this one is over I will be thinking about Indy. Amazing something I have no control over can have such an effect. That last sentence was my wife and my shrink talking. For some reason I think I'm part of the team. Lol

After coming off a late Sunday night game and playing 3 days later on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys were flat, looked horrible, (especially the offense) and we got our asses handed to us. With plenty of rest and plenty enough time to prepare, I fully expect a much better Dallas team today and expect different results. If Cowboys offense plays well and we don't turn the ball over, we should be O.K.

Do we need the Seahawks to lose today to help our playoff chances if we don't beat the Eagles today? Watching the game and need to know who to cheer for.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
