That's whatsup DEEP. You watching the game right now? Stein's length+athleticism is a game changer for sure.

Also, I didn't realize Mudiay was playing in China.

I'm telling you Ty Willie is gonna be a big help right away to whoever gets him. That game he had last week was just a preview of what he can be.TyCobb wrote:That's whatsup DEEP. You watching the game right now? Stein's length+athleticism is a game changer for sure.

VanVleet is one of those guys who can recognize the 2nd or 3rd option off a pick and roll. He sees the rotations and gets it to the shooters on the wings/corners. I like how he goes to the basket during p/rs as well. Damn those shooting percentages tho... : (

Cauley Stein is probably going to go late lottery.

That Houston pick is probably going in the mid 20s... goodbye WCS.

Is it just me or is that LSU interior defense a total freaking beast?

That Houston pick was always gonna be a late 20's pick. Our hope needs to be seeing them fade down the stretch drive of the season which I think they will. The only way we sniff close to WCS is if he fell in the combine, and we could fall back on that Houston pick. WCS was always gonna be in that top 15...hell especially with the way he's playing now he may crack the top 10 by tournament time.aaron_gray wrote:That Houston pick is probably going in the mid 20s... goodbye WCS.

Pretty sure the only way we nab WCS is if he tears his ACL... At this rate, I'd rather just hope for Nigel Williams Goss/Tyus Jones with the Houston pick and then Aaron Harrison with the second that we'll probably get to keep.

I think he'll be a Top 13, but Nbadraft.net has him in second round.

I have an odd sense of stoic confidence that the Suns will pick him with our pick and he'll turn out to be a solid player from day 1, a better Mehmet Okur with all star potential.

Would Houston fork over the Pelicans pick for Jordan Hill?

No freaking way, Tariq Black has turned out to be a decent find, Motijuanas has looked good and even Papanickolu has played well at PF. Even if T Jones is out for the season the only weak link in their front line is Joey Dorsey, who is utter crap.
They still have the Lin TPE to add players close to the deadline.

Looking at the draft express list, there must be a ton of serviceable talent in the late first, early second round next season. The Harrison brothers, Selden, Poythress (just tore his ACL), Obepka, Niang and Marcus Paige all project to be around there.
You guys like any of them aaron_gray/Ty?

Agreed. Our only hope at that would have been for them to nose-dive after Dwight went out. Unfortunately they withstood the storm. No need to give up a 1st on their part.

I'd rank them Selden/Niang/Obepka/Paige/Poythress/Harrison twins for impact.
Can't stand the Harrison twins, they do nothing special, everything average to slightly below average. Andrew is the better ballhandler of the two, but I don't think he has the quickness to guard NBA point guards.
Love Obepka's defensive potential to be a game changer, but zero offensive abilities. Like Biyombo lite.
Selden, great length and size, and shows just enough on both sides of the ball to show me he has a foundation to work with and a bit higher upside then the rest of the list.
Niang is no doubt the most skilled out the bunch. Reminds me of Kyle Anderson. Seems like the safest pick out of the list in terms of contributing something at the NBA level.
