GOATBrook is the Chuck Norris of the NBA or rather Chuck Norris is the GOATBrook of Hollywood. You can't jinx him, you can only hope that KD slows him down.

Now I am not putting any pressure on you or anything but you would be the best poster on the PC board bar none if you could change the title to GOATBrook. If you don't then you are going to be jinxing him.

Well, up 18 after a quarter. He may not see a ton of time tonight if the team keeps it up.

20/4 in just 17.6 minutes. Him and James both at ~50 PER at the half.

So he should be at ~31.6 after tonight. Would be 2nd (Davis still at 33 after tonight), but he doesn't qualify for the leaderboard yet.

If you don't include the Clippers game he got hurt in and only played 5 minutes, he's averaging 28.5, 6.2 rebounds, 7 assists on 50/40/80 shooting. And in only about 32 minutes a game.

I don't know if it deserves its own thread and its Thunder related so I figure I'll just post it here, but Andre Roberson has been ridiculously good on defense this season. Thunder have a 91.1 Drtg with him on the floor and 103.6 with him off which is an amazing impact for a wing defender. He can't shoot so he still doesn't offer much on offense besides offensive rebounds, but been really impressive.

As said above, he's similar to Thabo. People who don't watch OKC never see the kid, but he's another late first round Presti pick. He couldn't hit a shot for 3 to save his life, but his D is better than Thabo and he can play/guard 3 positions (he was a PF in college).

Westbrook might be the best player in the league right now.

He just hasn't really had a big enough sample size/ minutes played for anyone to come out and say it. He and Harden are the closest things to young Lebron in the league. Put your head down go get free throws and dominate with your physicality and athleticism make great dishes to the corner when doubled.

He's a lot like Thabo when Thabo first came to OKC. Definitely even better than Thabo was on defense last year.

i feel like thabo just sort of didnt care towards the end there, cuz he was quite a good defensive player for a few years, i think he even led perimeter players in defensive RAPM one year.

An article was just written on him(again) by a DailyThunder writer. We kind of saw it last year, but we didn't expect this kind of impact. His shooting is completely broke, which is weird because he shot 35% from 3 in college(number of attempts were 35, 50, and 58). Don't know if it's confidence or if it's that bad.

Here's the link and some quotes:
http://dailythunder.com/2014/12/andre-r ... se-is-fun/

As Royce recently pointed out, the Thunder’s defense falls off a cliff when Roberson exits the game. It’s not hard to see why. ESPN’s RPM (real plus/minus) system and Basketball-Reference’s DBPM (defensive box plus/minus) system peg him as roughly one of the five or six best perimeter defenders in the league.

Other metrics are even kinder to Roberson. Players are shooting just 32 percent—over 13 percent lower than their season average—when Roberson is defending them, per NBA.com’s Player Tracking data. I haven’t looked at the data for every player in the league, but I can confidently say that Roberson’s numbers are heads and shoulders above any player with even a sliver of a defensive reputation.

Marcus Smart is the only guard or wing outside of Roberson who boasts a double-digit differential per this data, and only two players (Sefolosha and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist) can match or exceed Roberson’s numbers at any spot on the floor. That’s insane.

Roberson’s rebounding has also been outstanding. He’s not crashing the offensive glass like he did last year (though it looks like that’s by design), but he’s an awesome defensive rebounder, especially for his position. OKC is snagging boards at a roughly top-five level on both ends when he’s on the floor and a roughly bottom-five level when he’s sitting. It’s no secret that some of the Thunder bigs have struggled to hold onto rebounds. Roberson has made their lives a whole lot easier in that facet.
