OT: Feud Between Bulls Players & Thibs May Be Brewing

LOL. Bring BC back, trade Ross & DeMar for Melo, fire Casey and hire Thibs. If it were up to this board, we'd be a lottery team for the next century.

Really wonder what Thibs would do with a deep roster and 5 guards. Thibs might be worth 10 wins / season over Casey. Worth a first round pick IMHO.

He for sure isn't worth 10 wins.. Maybe 2-4 and even that is pretty high. I honestly don't think his usuage would be that much different. He would play Lowry 38 mins a night and he would break down before the postseason.

Thibs usually runs defensive guys into the ground, Butler and Noah, but he uses guards pretty efficiently. Bulls bench has never been good and as a defensive coach its understandable why he ran Butler out so much. Toronto doesn't really have a player to abuse like Butler on the team. He played 40 mpg while being next to useless on offense.

Noah is hurt I think. Its not going to end well. I don't think the Bulls ever had depth or a season not plagued by injuries since Thibs started.

In order for a Thibs coached team to be sustainable they need a higher turnover than they have now. More fresh blood and less continuity. Their core has been around for so many years at top of the conference level play that they need to rest.

Cleveland has the same issue. They started to succeed when their starters played heavy minutes. It will hurt their record as the season goes on but come playoff time having a smaller rotation will make both Cleveland and Chicago tough to beat.

So tonight Taj Gibson plays 45 minutes and Butler plays 44. This game did not go to Overtime..Surprised if these guys make it to the ASbreak healthy.

As great as thibs is talked about, I would rather Casey coach the team. At least he doesn't run the players into ground and trusts his players. Amir wouldn't last a week with him in charge, Jonas would be lucky to play 20 minutes/game considering how how bad he can be on D.

Carlos Boozer played 30 minutes a game despite being much worse on defense than Val.

I think Casey has grown into a much better coach this year and I'm glad he's our coach. He seems to have a great relationship with all the players and I think that's really important; they respect him and play hard for him.

Playing 7-8 guys (some for 40 plus minutes) obviously is asking a lot from a physical standpoint, but on the flip-side you're basically saying to half of your team, "you suck". I wonder if those guys feel like they're a part of the team.

maybe they don't, but who cares? The Bulls are playing for a conference title and championship. There may be something to be said for managing minutes, but these guys get paid a lot of money and are pro athletes, they can take it.

yes, defensive player of the year under the former coach of the year who's defensive implementations allowed a healthy roster to go 62-20.

Carlos was their best offensive player most of the time, with rose being inured and all. He was paid max money and was a former all-star, thibs had no choice but to play him. Jonas is young and unproven for the most part at this stage.
