Big game tomorrow

Post#1 » by Jarntt » Sun Dec 14, 2014 12:46 am

Funny I've been thinking about my fantasy football playoffs more than the Cowboy game today. Big $'s on th line there, but the fact is I'd rather have a Cowboy win.

What worries me is that even if we win we still aren't in a great position to get into the playoffs. I'm going to be rooting for Detroit to lose, but it could burn us if we end up in a 3 way tie with them and Seattle.

I'm hoping we blitz a lot and play press coverage. I know that is a dangerous combo for big plays, but the sit back approach with no pass rush hasn't been working out too well. Just send Church on alot of plays since he can't cover any way and go single high with Wilcox. I'd also mix up the pressure from McClain and Hitchens (or Carter if he's in). I'd don't see Sanchez beating us if we make it hard on him...

We also need to give Carr a little inside help if we are playing press coverage. His worst aspect is chasing guys across the field and the combo of press coverage and blitzing will result in a lot of hot read slants. Maybe if our LBs light up Maclin a couple times he won't want to run that route without looking around him...

Yep big money on the line tomorrow. Semi finals for me. The Rams D got me 5 measley points the other night. I'm actually gonna do something that I really hate and play 2 players that I picked up off he waiver wire this week.

On a side note, the fantasy boys at the hoop drilled me for taking Rodgers in the first round. He has turned out ok. They said I should have taken Montee BAll.

My lineup tomorrow. Qb Rodgers. RB. L. Bell. And Jonathan. Stewart. Flex. Steven Jackson. WR. D. Thomas and Anotonio Brown. K. Adam V. Defense. Rams. TE. Fleener

Bench. Jennings. R Mathews. Andre Johnson. Mike Wallace. Steve Smith

My waiver picks- Stewart and Jackson.

Any suggestions. - A 50 percent chance at 2k if I win.

I have that strange feeling that the cards will be the one that drop out of the playoffs. I dunno why and have not looked into the chances of that happening but its just a feeling.

They are in. They have clinched a spot already, unless we tie tomorrow night

I'm not sure what games you picked in weeks 16 and 17, but there is a very good chance that Philly wins the division even if we beat them.

week 15 winners in games that matter
Bucs, Steelers, Cards, Vikings, Seattle, GB, Boys, Bears

week 16 winners
GB, Eagles, Lions, Indy, Seattle, Falcons, Car

week 17 winners

I prefer to call it being realistic. Even in his own scenario he has us beating Philly, but them still winning the division. He also has Minnesota beating Det and that is why his scenario even has us making the playoffs. I'm not saying we won't make it, I'm saying don't think winning this week makes it a slam dunk.

Oh I see, you have the Vikings winning today. I was wondering what happened to a Detroit. I think we need Cutler to play well tomorrow and the Bears win so he isn't benched for the Detroit game. Just a thought. For some reason , I have a feeling the Eagles will have trouble in one of their last 2.

If you do the sims and let all the favorites win, I would guess we are left out.

Bad thing is we could win both Philly and Indy and blow it all week 17

Your realism is interfering with my mini fantasy.

Now if you don't mind I have to go to church and say a prayer for each member of our offensive line.
