Embiid even from the start of the season though was the consensus keep an eye on this guy though due to his unlimited potential. The strides he made in one year were impressive, Wiggins might've taken all the buzz but it wasn't like Embiid was an guy that came from no where.

Bazz played himself out of a top pick from being suspended and to never passing the damn ball. Muhammad had about the worse year you can have and still was a lottery pick though.

Poythress was mentioned in conversation for about two games by one person, no one ever considered him at all. McAdoo had a ton of buzz coming out of high school but in three years he was more or less a bust for UNC. Didn't live up to any hype at all.

Your right that the rankings are fluid on paper, but there are years in which you know whose going to be the top pick.

- 2014 Wiggins vs Parker all year long.
- 2013 no one had a damn clue.
- 2012 it was the Davis, MKG and Barnes draft.
- 2011 it was the Kyrie draft even with the injury.
- 2010 Wall, Henry and Turner. Henry fell in the lottery.

You're right someone can there way into the top five, but honestly what dark horse can that really be? Thus far who would you consider?

Tyus Jones I guess can go the way of Conley Jr and really shine.
DeAngelo Russell? He's considered a lottery pick already.

I believe in the eyes of the GM's the gap between the main three and everyone else is huge. Don't pay attention to mocks, there absolutely useless this time of the year.



In a way yes, but we traded away a WCS that clearly moved on from this team. Once you check out mentally it's sort of hard to defend that guy. Chandler was a great get for Dallas because he gives a damn again.



I agree Id take Porzingis over WCS in terms of talent, hell even had him in a mock I did last year and was scoffed at. However not sure if I want Porzingis going forward when looking at the vision that Phil probably has for this team. Curious though, what would your top ten look like at the moment?

I think it's more people hated Tyson's motor. If he brought what he did that year he won DPOY with us every night he'd still be a Knick and fans would see him as untouchable. WCS's motor is off the charts

Okafor, Mudiay, Towns, Porzingis, Winslow, Johnson, Turner, Looney, Russell, LeVert, Alexander, Harrell, Portis, Jones (Duke), Jones (Vandy big guy), Sabonis, Hezonja, Oubre, Jaiteh, Kaminsky, Wright (maybe), and Hernangomez.

Maybe a bit too harsh, but I don't like WCS. It's really that simple. Obviously my feeling can change from day to day, but yeah, those are the guys I'd take above.

Anyways, if I don't respond later today it's because I'm studying and will respond tomorrow or Tuesday...or I'm just ignoring the post.

No one hated Tyson during his first two years really. Once the Knicks started to play some bad basketball he checked out, that's when everyone turned on him. People LOATHED that aspect of Tyson, we all loved the rebounding and help defense when he actually provided it. We loved when he would shut down Howard and make him look like a child playing a mans game. The point is we hated Tyson because he gave up on the Knicks, if we can draft a motivated Tyson that's a good look for a team.

One other thing, Chandler could never dream of running the floor like WCS can.

Yeah I think you being overly critical of WCS. The improvements he's made in his game year by year has been off the charts. He's finally playing like he's one of the better big men in the country. I fully expected Johnson to take the starting position this year and WCS just beat him out for it. He's a wrecking ball on defense, each game he's getting steals left and right and he will challenge shots. I mean he's not a main prize but a damn good consolation prize.

I'm willing to bet as the year goes on he will grow on you some more, unless that VCU pride gets in the way.

i never complained about his defense because he never had one outside of dunking. However I did complain about his lack of energy, leadership, and defense last year which he was paid to do.

If we pick outside the top 3 WCS would be someone to consider if he is a younger, more athletic, Tyson. I don't think anyone complained about Tyson's production his first two years here outside of the fact he was a no show for both playoff appearances.

He is so much more smooth in his transition game. To me he looks more like a poor man's Kawhi Leonard then Ron Artest

If you fall out of the top 3, I also like Stanley Johnson along with Justise Winslow. Both these guys can defend and will be double digit scorers unlike Iman Scrubert.
