Lets try to consolidate all the rumors (not fake trades) floating around on the net.

I'll be pissed if we try to keep building around Al and trade Lance.

Our core should be Lance/MKG/Zeller/Vonleh with Biz, Neal, and Hairston being the compliments.

I just have a hard time believing that Clifford and Cho aren't having meetings and noticing Al's 800 pound weight dragging the team down on offense and defense.

Indiana hasn't ruled out the possibility of bringing back Stephenson, but appears unwilling to seriously engage the Hornets without the inclusion of a first-round pick in a potential deal, sources told Yahoo Sports.

So far, Charlotte has shown no inclination to package a future draft pick to move Stephenson, league executives told Yahoo Sports.

Indiana's got to be nuts if they expect a 1st round pick back. Lance is more valuable than a salary dump!

When the Hornets first proposed a deal to reunite Stephenson with Indiana, the Pacers suggested the discussion start with two future first-round picks, league sources said. Make no mistake: The Pacers understand they can negotiate from a position of strength.

Cho is no dummy. He knows you can't be bad and trade a 1st round draft pick.

The Nets have talked with Charlotte on the possibility of a deal for Stephenson, a Brooklyn native, and have been scouring the league for intel on Stephenson, sources told Yahoo. Charlotte has had a willingness to consider taking center Brook Lopez, whom they nearly signed to an offer sheet in 2012, in a trade, league sources said. The two teams have exchanged ideas, but Brooklyn has been mostly spending time trying to investigate the risks and rewards of possible scenarios with Stephenson.

Charlotte has been open to discussing the Nets' big-salary stars as part of a broader Stephenson package, including Lopez and Joe Johnson, sources said. The combination of a third year on Deron Williams' deal – as well as the emergence of Walker as the franchise's point guard – leaves Charlotte uninterested in acquiring Williams, league sources said.

We are targeting the wrong Brooklyn Net. I prefer the trade rumor that mentions Brook Lopez as one of our targets. This hints at a full facelift as it means we would line up a deal for Al if it means moving Lance.

Perception is reality. The perception (though false) is that Lance has blown up two playoff teams(one contender).
Very few contending teams will risk a mid season hurricane.As a free agent only 5 teams showed interest.

LAC might since they should know they don't have what it takes.(they should have kept Bledsoe). But if Kemba won't defer to Lance I don't see a real punk like Paul helping him transition.

If Rivers really has that team, and can do for Lance what he did with DJ, then the LAC will pull the trigger. I don't see Paul and Griffin being down unless they know where they really are as a team.

Basically McLemore is not attainable. Horrible decision not to draft him but I digress.

Sources say that the Hornets are not in a move-him-at-all-costs mode with Stephenson but made it clear that Charlotte is ready now to abandon the experiment if a palatable deal presents itself.

I mean I don't think anyone would've confused them for best buds out there, but still surprised if this is true. So unexpected that Kemba would be the primary motivation.

Doesn't matter if they're protected or not, its still a first round pick and we are a team that really needs talent

worst case, i'd cut Lance and eat his contract before I would be willing to part with a 1st round pick to get rid of him. slightly less than worst case scenario should be lance being moved to the bench and running the 2nd unit while (hopefully) he regained some form and he and the coach and teammates worked out some problems.
