That can't be procedure for the guards. He got dropped pretty hard, so if that's when he hit his head, I could see that causing a lot of damage. The key to a finding a negligence will probably center around what kind of medical attention MSG staff secured after he got hurt.

Sorry to hear about it, but it's sounding like the family may have a ticket to win the Dolan lottery payout

Or it's what he was recently famous for.
Meanwhile it seems his life changed drastically that night.

So you think the first thoughts his fiancée and immediately family after he fell from the second story of a building was how to profit of his injuries (which will likely lead to his death) rather than thinking about him and how sad it is that he's no longer with them?

Are people still thinking this happened while he was kicked out of MSG? He jumped out of a window a few days later. Jesus guys.

If there ever was a case for a massive lawsuit...

Prayers to the family. Sad.

It's a pretty crazy and strange thing to happen to say the least. Sometimes people who are the most depressed seem very jubilant and excitable on the outside, case in point with the late Robin Williams. You always hear stories like that. What's interesting is he had gone to games after the knicks one, I think it was the 76ers and people seemed to think he was alright. Its possible the whole msg thing just broke some kind of final straw in him. And this is someone who has probably had a hard life as it is with losing a leg. Either way it's tragic.

RIP. Terrible to have something like this from someone who loved his team that much.

Thanks for the clarification, Einstein. But noone thinks that. People think his fall at MSG might have caused some brain damage which might have had some effects on his life that led to suicide.

I understand kicking someone out of a game, but dragging him and DROPPING him out? What the **** kind of **** is that? I've been to Pistons games, one of the most unruly sports environments I've ever been to, and the security showed 10x more respect to troublemakers than the ones at MSG did to this man.

Not blaming his death on this incident, first time I'm hearing about it and I'm just shocked that the security acted the way they did to him.

I AM NOT SAYING THAT THEIR CLAIMS AREN'T TRUE (about security causing him some injuries).
That being said, if you don't think a LOT of people think "PROFIT" first, regardless of circumstances, you must be either very young or very sheltered. Maybe both.

I have seen a case where one person died and the sister just went and emptied the house (there was very little of value) before the daughter got there. And for the daughter it wasn't probably even for the monetary value, but for the memories. In fact, the sister had been apparently taking stuff even before that person died.

And I have heard and read about so many more.
Go on reddit.com and ask in /r/askreddit about the worst things relatives have done to people, and you might just want to move away from this planet.

And I have to say that I find the claims outrageous myself.
I suspect the guy might have had a mental disorder or something, and the family is trying to cash on it, probably rationalizing it as "He'd have wanted us to rip a few millions off James Dolan". And I can't really blame them ... after all, it's Dolan.

In fact, I think most (if not all) "superfans" have some issues. If a team in any sport is affecting your life so much when you're not actively taking part in that team, there is a problem. A team's loss shouldn't make one depressed or angry to the point you're about to get into a rage. I can understand a little sad or disappointed or even a bit angry, but extreme emotions from watching a sport are a sign of an individual with issues.

I know this won't be popular on a sports forum, but it's the truth.

Yeah, I am confused. The guy had one leg, a severe brain injury, a fractured spinal cord, was not in a hospital, and was able to jump out of a window? Why wasn't he in the hospital with those type of health conditions? Something does not make sense. I can't place blame on anyone as there seems to be way too many unknowns surrounding the ejection, prior medical history, and how the injuries were caused.

Regardless, it always sad when a tragic event like this takes place. My condolences to the family.

My understanding is that he refused to leave, which is what prompted security to carry him out.
