Game 23: Cavs vs. Charlotte Hornets 7:00 EST, NBALP FSO

Post#1 » by King Stannis » Mon Dec 15, 2014 5:39 am

The Cavaliers return home hoping the friendly confines of the Q will give them a boost after a winless two-game road trip that saw the end of their season-high eight game win streak. The Hornets, who are said to deeply regret the signing of noted malcontent Lance Stephenson, are not playing to pre-season expectations. The Cavs look to get Kyrie Irving back in the groove after a tough road-trip that included an injury scare.

Carried by NBA League Pass and Fox Sports Ohio.

Keys to the Game:

1. Play defense, dammit.
2. Ball movement on offense.
3. Own the Boards.
4. Don't play to the level of competition.
5. Bench production of any kind (Waiters, Delly questionable, Miller out).

Stannis' Recommendations:

Come out swinging. Start Love early, get a nice lead, let Kyrie shoot himself out of his slump. More P&R with the big men.

Perfect bounce back opportunity, can't let this one get by them.

Should see a heavy dose of Waiters if they're shopping him...this is definately a potential trade partner.

There is no reason for the Hornets to be this bad. They need to make some trades.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I wonder if the Cavs think that teams will just give up after getting their butts kicked in the first quarter.

Conversely, every team in the league must know by now that the Cavs will always surrender a huge lead early.

I feel like that has been a trait of Lebron's teams his entire career, happened in Cle before, happened in Mia....not saying it means anything just something I've noticed.
