Loved the interview after the game. Interesting Qs and honest answers. I couldn't believe they stopped the game for a few mins. That was a very classy move. I have never seen it done like that. Props to Minny.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

quite an accomplishment by kobe! Next on the list, the Mailman. Kobe needs 4618pts to catch him. I think he can do the following..

22 PPG 21 PPG 20 PPG
58 GMS 82 GMS 82 GMS

1276 1722 1640 = 4638

What an amazing accomplishment. I actually remember that '98 ASG as well as that December 17th matchup between he and MJ that NBA TV keeps talking about. I watched both live. Awesome.

brilliant posts from the GB:

Neat video, song was dope as well.

People really need to put aside the Kobe hate and admire his accomplishment even a tad bit. Once its all said and done and he retires, it will be a sad day for the NBA.

o it won't. It's not like he's in the mix anymore. Duncan is still competing for championships so I feel like it'll be more of a sad day when he retires. Kobe at this point is just gunning for records. It was a sad day for the NBA when he first tore that Achilles and we all knew what that meant.

I agree, Duncan's retirement will be a lot more meaningful. I was mentioning the fact about competitiveness and drive that players have, ala kobe. Now he's just gunning his way every night which is fun/stupid to watch but my point was he still should be recognized by his accomplishments.

Don't quote me after this, I can't defend kobe anymore :banghead:

What kind of logic?!

LOL it will be a sad day but probably not for the reason you think. I am having a ball watching Kobe... because it's special to see a guy have absolutely no conscience whatsoever when shooting the ball and who could not care less about winning. Usually guys like that end up riding the bench... but the fact LA let Kobe do it makes it a car crash that I can't look away watching. I will be sad when those **** and giggles are over

Honestly the general board and their posters will drop your IQ if you read to much on there.
