TANK 2 SACKS

Post#1 » by 49er4life1979 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 3:03 am

To shed a little positive light on the game and season really, I thought Tank Carradine played well in what really was his rookie season. Since being activated a few weeks ago, he has looked solid. He culminated that with 2 sacks today. Very pleased to see another player from the 2013 Draft playing well. Quinton Dial too will be a stud at DE IMO.

Great post. Always nice to look at the positives with all the negatives of this season.

We will be back next year regardless of who is coaching.

I think Tank's ideal position is a pass-rushing DE. First DL off the bench. He might become a beast against the run eventually too, but having him part of the NASCAR package would be great. Lynch, Tank, one of the DEs (JSmith or RayMac) & Aldon on passing downs is going to be a QB's nightmare next season IMO.

If the Niners can get the Raiders' pick & draft Leonard Williams, LW & RayMac could start while Tank comes in on passing downs. That'd be sweet. This is assuming JSmith retires of course.

Tank should take all the snaps in the final two games. Same goes for Patton and Ellington. No point in playing the vets.

Agree but for some reason I think we will see a bunch of Lloyd at wr and about 15 snaps for lynch and tank. If Hyde is ready to go would love to see about 25 carries for him as well

I completely agree. I'd start Moody as well at ILB and not risk any further injury to Borland. Moody had 5 tackles yesterday and planted a nice hit on Wilson which the NFL today ruled was LEGAL. I'd love to see more of Moody. I definitely want to see more from Quinton Patton as well.

Moody sucked a$$ last night. He wasn't playing the run effectively allowing Lynch to go crazy on us in the 2nd half. Borland came in on one play in the 2nd half (he tried to tough it out realizing Moody was playing bad) and almost got a tackle for loss on Lynch - accomplished that on that one play playing on one leg. He missed the tackle of course but you saw the instincts that he has in which Moody clearly lacks.

His first game pressed into action dude. With Borland injured, Moody may start Sunday.
