Since John Calipari signed Cauley-Stein as something of a sleeper, he has gone from project (freshman) to role player (sophomore) to, so far, the best player on the No. 1 team in college hoops.

"He affects the game in every way," (Famed North Carolina coach Roy) Williams said. "He blocks shots, he gets steals, he gets follow dunks, and he gets dunks when the guards penetrate in there and throw it up around the rim and he goes and gets it. He's a complete player. You look at it, he affected the game drastically and he only took nine shots."

So if WCS has been described as the best player on the Number One team in college hoops then how can he not be better than Towns?
Tanking again, I suppose. Is there any other way?

Karl's is a freshman playing less minutes rebounding and blocking shots at a better clip. Shooting better from the line and the few mid range shots been smooth. If you go by PER, Towns also leads the team as well as his DRTG.

WCS might be the best on the team but wouldn't take him over Towns. He is possibly Pau/Duncan but won't nearly be polished enough in his rookie season. WCS might be better then Tyson.

you must not watch college basketball either because if you just look at 25/20 and not look at the opponents well I don't know what to tell you.

I would rather see Okafor put up 25/20 vs Duke's bench then Elon.

I like WCS but he dies all those things you mentioned similar to Tyson Chandler. And I liked Tyson but the issue is this triangle requires a big who can operate. WCS doesn't really operate. You couldn't use him to set up anyone else's game but rather finish. He's prefect for 90% of the modern nba though

We desperately need a defensive guy at the 1 in today's NBA. I know people love bigs especially NBA gms but this is the can't miss of this draft.

good pg's are pretty common in free agency though, this year:
1) dragic
2) rondo
3) jackson

next year:
1) lillard
2) conley
3) ellis

It's a good point. Point guards are much easier to find. But what if Mudiay approaches Wade heights? That'll be a different story of course.

Seems like Stanley Johnson is not getting enough buzz. Could be dominant.

Ok after watching Damian Lillard dismantle the Spurs in OT last night, I've decided to open up this poll. I underestimated what an elite PG can do for a team.... You are also allowed to change your original vote.

Mudiay seems like Westbrook to me honestly.

Cant shoot

can dribble, penetrate and attack

Hoping for Emmanuel Mudiay, and some how I know it is a long shot but if we could get a big like:
LaMarcus Aldridge
Marc Gasol
Greg Monroe

Along with some other free agents like:
Luol Deng
Arron Afflalo
Jamal Crawford
Wilson Chandler Team Option

I actually like Emmanuel Mudiay and Stanley Johnson the best out of all the draft prospects.

However, I'd be happy with any of these 6 guys on draft night (despite my concerns about some of them):

1. Mudiay
2. Johnson
3. Towns
4. Okafor
5. Cauley-Stein
6. Turner

Okafor by a long shot
Towns
Mudiay

PG's grow on trees these days. Heck there are 2-3 teams that have 3 legit starters. Cant teach height, especially talented height. I was Okafor AND Monroe (in FA) at this point. Find some guards later.

mudiay was my guy prior to the season starting, but i haven't been paying much attention. i saw a mix of one of his games in china, and i was a bit disappointed.

i had issues with okafor because his rebounding numbers in high school were eddy curry esque. i do like that he's a really good passer for his size, and that bodes while for the triangle.

i think towns has a lot of work to do, and might be better off staying in high school at least 2 years.

i think i still like embiid better than both okafor or towns.

I could see Embiid vs Okafor possibly being this generation's Olajuwon vs Ewing.

if pgs grow on trees why have the knicks fielded the likes of chris duhon, raymond felton,40 year old chauncey billups, 40 year old jason kidd, and now jose calderon?
