Obviously, the shooting is ridiculous. And many people have commented on the surprising defense. But how about Rasual Butler's friggin speed and hops at age 35?! He looks like one of our more athletic players. Certainly would've nailed that Nutty Professor put-back clanker tonight :).

People are saying that Rasual Butler is going to revert back to the mean but for now everytime that he shoots it, I feel like that it's going in.

He could be the first to get 6th and 15th MOY.

Roger Clemens?

Barry Bonds?

Raphael Palmeiro?

Sammy Sosa?

I see what you guys did there, but obviously PEDs isn't the answer. My theory is that he's been so grossly underutilized throughout this career, he's just entering his prime. I think we should lock him up for 4 years/$40 mill before he hits the open market this summer.

Durant who?

My guess is a two-parter. First, he may have done some major work on his shot the past couple years. It's not unprecedented for players to improve shooting later in their careers. And his improvement this season is almost exclusively his shooting. There's some evidence for this theory last season, when in brief minutes he had a career high in 2pt fg% and the 2nd best 3pt% of his career.

Second, the sample size is still fairly small (73 3pt attempts and 80 2pt attempts), and there's likely to be some reversion as the season wears on.

Maybe give it another week or two before giving him that $40 million contract.

Trade him for 2 1sts and assume Webster will pick up right where Ras left off. Then trade Webster for 2 1sts in the offseason.

So what does he get this offseason from Turd and Ernie?

4/25 or 6/30? It's just a matter of time.

Can't believe this thread dropped to the bottom of page 2. Butler and Humph both getting some Grantland love:

Butler is still playing well. 14 points off the bench today. 2 made threes. 2 blocks.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
