Jabari Parker out for the year btw. Rookie of the year race now wide open.
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

That sucks for Parker and the bucks. KJ and Noel with a real shot at it though. 3 peat rookie of the year incoming.

I think we had a shot before the injury.

Sucks for Parker. All these rookies out for the year. Is this draft class cursed? :o

Keep in mind that the lowest PER for a ROY winner is Mike Miller's 13.2, Wiggins has a 9.5. Noel, 10.3, KJ 12.1.

There is a simple and logical explaination to all the injuries. Joel embiid is Shang Tsung. He is using his sorcerer's powers to heal his injuries. Unfortunately, in order to do so he must steal the health and well being of other players. Embiid is a vengeful demigod that heard the scoffs of other teams fans. As such, he has struck their teams players down to further his ends. Soon Embiid Tsung will be strong enough to conquer Outworld, defeat Liu Kang and Earth, and finally he will suit up at center for the 2015 Philadelphia 76ers.

 Funny you say that, because I always thought of Hinkie as Shang Tsung when he drains the souls of other teams' futures by stealing all of their draft picks.

If Nerlens plays like he did on Monday night more times than not he'll win ROY. Big if though.

Sad news about Jabari. That said, it just goes to show how ridiculous some of the anti-tank arguments are. How many times have we heard that Hinkie is being too risky by taking two rookies with serious injuries and he should have made "safer" picks? They are no sure things. The only sure thing is that taking an inferior player will never optimize results.

Can we start calling Parker, Gordon, Randle and McDermott injury prone players who are huge risks and might never play a full season?
We should open a new thread on the GB every day to trash the teams who were stupid enough to pick those failures.

In all seriousness though, right now only 4 out of the top 12 picks are in a position to even get on the court (considering Vonleh isn't getting any love from his coach).

Vonleh is trash, mr. measurables

i like Hinkie and mostly trust his talent evaluation, but it kind of scares me that he was apparently trying to trade up for Vonleh in the draft

It could have been Stauskas too.

Did that come out from WOJ? I'm just asking because unless it WOJ or 15 year old Jake from Liberty Ballers I don't buy it anymore.

That's right, my faith is in someone who is on Winter break right now.

Yeah, Brett Brown said that the other week.

What is Vonleh being trash based on? He's barely played and put up a league average PER when he did.

Breaking: Raw 19 year old drafted for potential not ready to play in the NBA 6 weeks into his career. News at 11.

Great game against the C's from Nerlens, happy for him. I still think that he can be good enough on offense to not be a liability on that end, and his defense has not dissapointed other than his blocks not being all that high, but he holds players to a really low percentage at the rim which is a lot more important than Javale McGee type blocks anyway.

Another positive thing is that he has not had any kind of major injury yet and that I no longer have a heart attack any time he falls. At the start of the season, every time I woke up I'd go to twitter immediatly and search "Nerlens Noel Injury" just so I could go to school without any anxiety lol.

Well put. These arguments that Hinkie's plan is bad because his draft picks are injured is so fundamentally flawed. It's a shame that all these "safe picks" had to get hurt for it to sink in with the general board.

And at this rate, Noel could be the last man standing for rookie of the year.
