We have absolutely no production out of Larry Sanders and desperately need a low post center that can actually make a shot from 0ft away. Larry is worth 10 Lopez.Good thing that the Kidd deal saved the new owners from the temptation of a "big splash" stupid move like trading for the broken down "stars" of Brooklyn.
Now Rondo is on the block.I imagine a few days ago pre ACL nightmare, he could have been a target.Another little silver lining. We skipped a bullet.

bucks can't trade with the nets, but if they aquired lopez i'd have to stop watching the bucks. not a fan of him at all.

Trade out Ersan and Zaza get back Hickson, Javale and picks.

Re: Trade Targets
I do think Denver is gonna be active in the trade market but I think they will be one of sellers and not the type to want vets or trade picks.AussieBuck wrote:Trade out Ersan and Zaza get back Hickson, Javale and picks.
As I mentioned earlier the sheer number of teams lookin to sell makes it a tough market with limited buyers and half of those buyers don't really have many young assets or decent picks to pay with.
Another factor is the guys the bucks want to deal aren't on expiring contracts so the buyer will have to want that player for multiple yrs which rules out the team worried about the lux tax or wanting cap flexibility next year.

Don't see McGary being available. The Thunder were very high on him, and he has gotten rave reviews from them in the offseason.

Re: Trade Targets
Salary saver:
Perkins
Collison
2nd round draft pick or whatever we can get.
Ersan
Zaza
These salaries aren't dangerous for the Thunder in that Reggie Jackson is probably already gone, and the other contracts they have coming up (Lamb) isn't for another 2 years (Zaza will clear), and then Adams, McGary, Roberson aren't for another 3 years (Ersan clears).
Westbrook/Jackson
Roberson/Lamb/Morrow
Durant/Jones
Ibaka/Ersan

Re: Trade Targets
Knight, Mayo, Henson for Stauskas, Williams (expiring), LP 1st.
Now is the ideal time to buy low on NK.
Zaza for an expiring. Ers we're probably stuck with and we'll need to re establish his value. Kidd is Bayless' buddy so he stays. Duds were probably stuck with too.

Gobert and Stauskas are the two on my wish list. I think Gobert is harder to get right now and we may not be able to get him at all, but with Kanter playing well and them committed to Favors ... maybe?

Noel for Waiters and Thompson is awful.

SGs:CJ McCollum
He is injured right now.I expected him to crack Portland s rotation as a 6th man this year but apparently Stotts prefers Will Barton over him.A note can be made that i could see Knight being our sg with some playmaking abilities but i m not willing to overpay for Knight
PFs:Thomas Robinson
He s probably considered a bust but i would like to see if he could become a valuable player here
Incorrect on McCollum. He seems very much part of the teams plans going forward and gets playing time if healthy. Barton has barely gotten off the bench this season. Too undisciplined.
T-Rob is probably available, despite getting the start against you and looking really good. T-Rob for Henson is a deal I'd like to see as a Portland fan.

Wonder what it would take to get Nurkic. I'd explore everything other than our golden 2.

He's a monster in the post, do you think his D will develop better than Pek's has?

Re: Trade Targets
With Parker out I'd like to make a run at Perry Jones and see if he can even remotely emulate those early season couple games before he got injured/Durant came back. Other guys I'd think might be obtainable that I'd like are Mason Plumlee, Tim Hardaway Jr., Alexey Shved and Jon Leuer.
