We trade the best player in the deal and have to take back Hendo? Pass. Larry for all his faults is still an elite defender. Hopefully we trade away Kidd's mistress Zaza so he has no choice but to play him more.

100%. Quicker feet, longer arms & better defensive instincts. In the limited minutes he's gotten he's already blocking shots at a much higher rate than Pek. I think conditioning will be Nurkic's biggest hurdle. I'd love to get him to Milwaukee and see what he does with 20 minutes every night for the rest of his rookie season.

Nurkic is fun to watch but for Kidds system we need a Center that can hit the cutter, the jumper, or drive from the high post.

I've never noticed his passing really but he wouldn't be my first choice. I should clarify needs to be able to hit an elbow jumper, but secondary to being able to make the pass to the cutter from the corner.

Not my first choice either, just the first guy who came to mind to meet those qualifications. Hawes has been among the assist leading centers for the past 3-4 seasons.

I'd easily do it. Not sure Orlando does though.

That's a very specific and valuable skill set that few NBA centers really possess. Zaza and Hawes are pretty much what you're describing and their offensive skill is sometimes negated by their defensive inefficiencies.

Marc Gasol, Noah, and Duncan are really the only C's I can think of that combine all of those attributes in addition to elite defense, but obviously that's what makes them extremely valuable and why we won't be able to acquire them anytime soon. Who else would be attainable that fits that criteria? Kaman? Kyle O'Quinn?

O'Quinn and McGary would be my top targets. Marc of course but I doubt he's coming here.

Giannis is from Greece and Gasol is from Spain or whatever. Maybe we can leverage that?

Gasol should be MVP and I'd be shocked if he leaves Memphis

I'd imagine he and Harden are the top 2 candidates right now, but there's still a really long way to go in the season.

Yeah but he's been a key player on a bunch of tanking teams. :D

I like Young Player. He seems like he has room to grow and mature if we get him.

We're getting last year's #4 and a starting C to replace Larry who profiles as a much better fit with Giannis and Jabari. We also cut close to 30m in salary obligations, though I'd probably use most of that to resign O'Quinn this summer. Still, we divest from Larry's volatility and get two potential starters for it. Henderson is just a contract who expires in 2016, which is good timing for us.

I'd trade Nate Wolters straight up for Glenn Rice Jr. I'd immediately give all of Dudley's minutes to Rice Jr. and see if we can find another diamond in the rough just like Hammond did in Middleton.
