What's not to love about a Mark Blount lookalike?

Shame Ainge bungled this one that badly.

That's about what he is worth on the trade market at this point, so it is fair value...but Ainge screwed this up by waiting so long to trade him. Dumb.

Good luck to Rondo. Ping Pong balls screwed the Celtics and put them in this predicament.

We honestly probably weren't gonna get much more than that with Rondo expiring. At least Wright fills a need.

I would've been satisfied if it was two first rounders, not one and a second rounder.

But the truth is that Rondo has been playing horribly and I understand why people don't want to break the bank for him anymore. He's been awful and is playing like a below average PG. I'm not shocked by it, but I just hoped a team would be foolish enough to offer us something ridiculous for him.

With that said, I wish all the luck to you Rondo! You were one of my favorite players when you wore a headband and put up some ridiculous playoff performances that I will never forget. Salute.

fair trade considering rondo was going to walk. PG's are hard to trade bc everyone has one now. Great move by the Mavs

What the heck is so great about it? The crappy 2015 pick? The career bench player who won't be on the team next year? Or is it the second rounder? :x

Guys, Rondo since he came off the ACl can't score. He is an 8 ppg player. The assists are good, but the rebounding is a bit overrated. Those rebounds that he get can be acquired by another player. Rondo doesn't get traffic rebounds. Many rebounds are him battling his teammates. that's good because it's a one man fastbreak. But it doesn't hurt us on the board.

I am intrigued by Wright's PER.

I called Rajon Rondo being traded a long time ago. Anyways, it had to be done. I wish him the very best in Dallas.

So Danny traded Rondo for a ham sammich and a bag of balls....great.

Mark freakin Cuban just took Danny over the rocks.

Not exactly a bold prediction seeing how he's been in trade talk for 8 years with nearly every team in the league....

MacMullen made a great point. Rondo makes no sense on the Celtics. He works great with elite scorers, which the Celtics don't have any. We got to get more orthodox. Ainge wanted this deal done before Dec. 19, that means he plans on being a player by Feb. 19. The entire roster will be available.

How about Brandan Wright averaging over 15 pts but with the current FG%? That'd be something

Wright & the first rounder.

Gives you another big, & 3 first rounds shots next year at landing a star.

I'm fine with the trade. I think it was time to move on from Rondo given all of the factors we all are aware of. The return wasn't great, but I'm sure we'll find out over the next few days when other deals get their details leaked out that it was probably on par with all the others, despite some of the speculative deals forum posters came up with.

Best of luck to Rondo and the Mavs. I hope they do really well
