"Great" trade? Explain. Did you mean "good", "mediocre" perhaps?

Yeah, fire him. He only gave you Rondo in the first place, a title, and now 10 first round picks to rebuild your franchise.

Yeah, he's some kind of joke.

Haha

Can't say that Ainge won this trade. Hate this move. The last link of the 2008 championship team traded for a deep pick and a couple journeymen who'll probably be gone once their contracts expire. Sad day for the Celtics.

I'll say it...

Anyone calling for Ainge to be fired is an idiot.

The return wasn't great, but I'm sure we'll find out over the next few days when other deals get their details leaked out that it was probably on par with all the others, despite some of the speculative deals forum posters came up with.

Best of luck to Rondo and the Mavs. I hope they do really well

I tend to agree with this. I was wishing for a 2017 pick from Dallas, but I guess the market for Rondo was even more tepid than I had expected. I'm glad, too, that he's headed to Dallas - I really like that team. Rondo will be a monster with all those scorers around him.

The last of the Big 3/KG era, ****.

First time Danny has lost a trade clearly in a while.

Write, crowder and Nelson are underwhelming and these picks are going to be in the late 20s. Celtics need players not picks.

Won't we have to do something else? We didn't have roster space for a 3-2 did we?

Not exactly a bold prediction seeing how he's been in trade talk for 8 years with nearly every team in the league....

Ha Ha. Fair Enough.

We got a first round pick for Rondo, amongst other **** - this is great. If it's a future first rounder, even more power.

A first round draft pick and taking on no salary past this season is about the best possible deal Ainge was going to get. Might have been better to just let him walk in the off season but I get the feeling the team were not that keen on the idea of him being around in that situation while they are trying to work towards the future.

I absolutely agree with that.

It's pretty bad trade, but that's where Rondo's value at this point is. Ainge's mistake was waiting til this season to trade him. Should have moved him at the deadline last year.

Oh well, I bet Jeff Green brings back more than Rondo.

Hello people!!!! Rondo's trade value wasn't good. Why is anyone surprised? He has kinda sucked this year.
