For me, I would hope to stick to red/black/silver as our colours. People always leave out the silver in our jerseys but that has been there since the begining. Less red, more black and silver highlighted by red. Thats what I would go for.

Get rid of the white and red - looks like cheap **** from a flea market.
The black and gold looks expensive, elite...that's the vibe the team should give. Right now, it looks like generic crap from a high-school marketing course. Hey guys, let's use white and red because we're in Candada! You're right Brian, Toronto is one city in Canada that has no identity outside of Canada so let's just use white and red. WOohoo, we got an A for creativity.

LOVE the bottom two... Modern design of throwback jerseys, minus dinosaur, with less red.. LOVE IT.

The current colour scheme is just super bland. Raptors jerseys have no real distinguishing feature in their design or colours.

Sounds like the rebrand will be distinctive, one way or the other, and it's a good thing.

so we just follow whatever trend, corny thing that is in style for the year and become the charlotte hornets of the nba.... there is nothing wrong with simple, miminalist, you can say the same about the knicks, yankees, lakers red wings, maple leafs. the ones we have now are TIMELESS

You can still keep them simple, minimalist or whatever you want to call it and still make them timeless while rebranding.

Rhett is right, our jerseys are bland, the logo isn't even prominently on it any more. They need a rebrand and they need to get the colours right. Red and white was a great idea as an alternate but it should never have become the primary colours.

The VC era purple jerseys were fine, there was never anything wrong with them. Everyone loves the original throwbacks we're wearing right now but those ones will get played out very quickly. VC era purples had the right colours and they were distinct from the rest of the league.

If we started winning before they decided to re-brand, this re-beand wouldn't be happening. I think the purpose of this re-brand was to make our crappy team more popular/cool etc etc. As you can see winning, fixes everything, the Raptors are popular/cool now. the "we the north" thing has helped as well (it was marketing genius and works extremely well). But if this winning happened before that decision to re-brand I don't think this would be happening.

We The North was part of the rebranding though. Without going down the path of rebranding you might not have got that. That wasn't supposed to even be released until the rebrand or this season but they pushed it earlier since they made the playoffs last year.

You're right in that someone probably decided to do the rebrand to shed the losing years and winning will get people to forget or not care what the colours/logo are. Doesn't mean they couldn't benefit from moving forward with a re=brand.
