Sorry i started a thread right before this one. Feel free to lock/delete it.

I like Brewer behind Harden/Ariza and the price is certainly right.

And you got it done in time to flip him for something bigger at the deadline.

i think they're saving that TPE for dragic later on....gonna miss daniels, but he wasn't getting any playing time and not much of a defender.

they are? Who else is going out from the Rockets then? JET?

Woj is reporting they used the Lin TPE on this deal and I think that's correct.

Since you can't combine the TPE with players I guess it was a simultaneous deal
TPE = Brewer
Daniels = Turiaf

would still have around 3.4 million of the TPE to use on another player
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

my bad....part of their TPE...so the remaining left won't be enough in itself to get dragic...they would have to go through trading a player, giving up picks, etc. route..

It doesn't matter. Rockets are not going to acquire Dragic from the Suns. They have nothing to give them and the Suns are not interested in trading Dragic.

I'm going to enjoy all of the rumors and misinformation that follow until the trade is complete. :lol:

I guess we know why Daniels got so much playing time last night. Daniels and Mo Williams are now teammates!

I would trade Ariza for Dragic and start Brewer at SF. Suns are going to lose him to free agency anyway.

Happy that it isn't the 2015 Knicks pick. Hopefully the "future pick" isn't the 2016 Knicks pick.

Hey - shouldn't we be stocking up with Knicks second rounders again? Do they own their 2017 & 2018 second round picks? Get to work, Morey!

Seriously doubt it. Suns would not do that trade. You can keep fantasizing all you want - ain't happening.

Giving up the 2nd round picks is no big deal. The Rockets could have potentially had FIVE 2nd round picks in this draft alone. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that is just too many and that they never intended to keep them all. They were acquired with the intent to be used in trades when the opportunity arose. There was no way you'd be able to draft and keep five 2nd round picks nor would you want to. Probably would have consisted of several foreign draft and stash players if they were unable to move them.

Well they're not going to give Dragic a big contract with Bledsoe and Thomas already signed to big ones. Good luck.

I'm with you on that! Totally stoked that we kept this year's Knicks pick. It is going to be a high 2nd so practically a late 1st. Very good asset to keep and use or include in another deal.

Yeah and Morey said he would re-sign Parsons and look how that turned out. Anyway, Goran is unrestricted so it's really up to him if he wants to play point guard with Houston or Lakers or combo guard with Phoenix.

I'm in the camp that believes a high second round pick is more valuable than a low first round pick. No guaranteed money against the cap and it frees the team up to be more creative with their contracts (see Parsons).

Really in that range of 25-40 you're pretty much looking at the same quality of player or prospect. I'm pretty sure that the Rockets will use it to draft the best Euro Stash available.
