Good deal by Dallas. I thought SAC would get him since they had nothing to lose. Makes me wonder the teams that struck out on Rondo - LAL, NY, SAC, HOU would have an interest in giving up something for Dennis and would ATL turn the deal down.

Please don't tell me your using the rings argument to justify picking Rondo over CP3 and Nash. I really like Rondo, but he had 3 hall of famers around him when he won in 08. Paul and Nash never had that type of supporting cast.

SAC had him a year ago but he refused to sign an extension or even tell them that he'd really like to resign in FA (ala K-Love). Not sure how SAC could pull the trigger in a deal for a guy who did that to them - even for a discount. You don't want someone on the team that has already made it clear he has one foot out the door. Teams trade away superstars for pennies on the dollar when he does that. I couldn't see any (valid) reason a team trade *into* that situation.
