Swaggy P Thread... Love/Hate for Nick Young

Nick Young is not a good player: He barely shoots forty percent from the field, plays no defense, never sets up others and is a poor rebounder for his size. He has no basketball IQ. He has no professional accolades, none. Not even a Player of the Week nod. He's literally accomplished nothing in his NBA career.

Nick Young is not funny. He comes off as extremely unintelligent in his interviews and and extremely unprofessional. Saying stuff like the "Swag Effect" helped your team should make no one laugh.

Nick Young is not cool. Nothing is cool about having your hair unkempt, wearing skinny jeans and mismatching colors and designs.

Nick Young is not good for team chemistry. Instead of improving himself and helping others, he dons this horrendous "Swaggy P" gimmick that is a horrible distraction to what really matters, winning.

Nick Young is not a winner. He would rather do something "swaggy" than win a basketball game.

Nick Young is a terrible basketball player with a terrible personality. If he were on your team you would want him with all due haste. For any of you that like him, I feel sorry for you, your friends and your relatives. May God have mercy on your pitiful soul.

I propped the Swag hard one year as he got a starting roll and show great improvement. I felt as the Wizard rebuild and Gil was gone that he could be a nice starting SG scoring option given the fresh start and new franchise direction and he had everything he needed to be a good defender. He got his opportunity to prove it and at least produced on offense.

But the Swag wanted like 9M a year as a UFA for to many years. No, the SWAG was not worth that. He was not yet proven as a professional. He was always a talent though. Dude can shoot. As a 6th man on a good team, he could be good and if he ever matured and was on a decent contract, he could start.

I was happy the Wizards finally let him go. He went in a trade that got us Nene who has been a huge part of the franchise rebuilding.

SWAG is a talented scorer. I always hoped he would mature and get the most out of his talent. But in the end, he is still a clown. Just like McGee. The Cinnamon boys.

I enjoy watching him play in LA. He has talent. Just glad he is doing it on another team.

Not only should the lot of you be banned from realgm, you all should be banned from anything basketball related for life. That is all. The only good thing about Nick Young is that I know at one point he will no longer disgrace my Laker franchise by wearing it's illustrious, beautiful purple and gold uniforms.

Imagine the look/reaction Kobe has when he is at his own retirement press conference and is asked about his thoughts on the Lakers future, the fate of the franchise, the keys to the car so to speak going from him to Nick Young.

Swaggy P provides entertainment value on bad teams. These last couple Lakers seasons would be insufferable without the entertainment value.
