They stepped up and earned it while Philly/Sanchez crashed and burned. Dallas has an Offense that is perfect for playoff football. Whats really big is they can rest up next week and heal some nagging injuries while preparing for their playoff game. If AZ can win tonight Dallas can really have a mice scenario in the first two rounds. Any team that can run the ball can do well in the playoffs and Dallas can definitely run. Murray is going to have to be big because the Dallas D isnt a playoff calibre D. Play Detroit round one, AZ round two.... WOW!

It would be nice if Seattle helped us out a little tonight. Winner of GB and Detroit gets one of the first round byes. We still have a shot at the number 2 seed if Arizona loses tonight.

AZ win would be big cause if GB and Seattle get the 1 and 2 seed it would be very hard to get to the big game. Dallas would have to beat Detroit at home (Easy) , then Seattle in Seattle, then GB in Lambeau, the Patriots in AZ. Very hard stretch. THats why the bye seeds are so important.

Here is the problem with our offense and how it's worked this year. AZ, Sea and Det will all be tough to run on. I don't see the running game going wild in the playoffs based on likely matchups. Playoffs will require Romo to play well. For that reason I was not happy to see him in the game as long as he was today.

Dallas would want it to work out where GB plays Seattle week 2 so one of the 2 big boys gets knocked out...

No, only head to head, but it will likely be a 3 way tie which puts us on the wrong side of all tiebreakers due to Conference record

I dont think they do when it comes to seedings which is unfair cause Dallas did beat Seattle. The problem is if GB, Dallas and Seattle all finish 12-4 head to head is thrown away. Then its conference record. Dallas would be 8-4 in conference and Seattle would be 10-2 and GB would be 9-3 giving Dallas the 3 seed. Looks like the Cards would be the 6 seed. Thats a HUGE break playing a team with their 3rd string QB.

From everything I've read we would need Seatke to win tonight and both them and Arizona to lose next week to get a bye. Pretty slim.

Re: Dallas Cowboys 2014 NFC East Champs!
to get #1 seed we need Seattle to win out and Green Bay and the Lions to tie
#2 seed we need both Cards and Seattle to lose next week.
The chance of those 2 happening are slim and None. We are going to be #3 seed because we lose ALL 3 way tie breaks, and only own a 2 team tie over Seattle

He's hopeless. In between all of his critiques, he completely skipped over winning the division.

Exactly. If we both win our divisions with the same record, we win the tie breaker vs. Seattle.

Only if Dallas and Seattle are ONLY teams at 12-4 if there is just one other 12-4 team "green bay 11-4 lions 11-4) then we automatically lose tie breaks and at #3
Head to head is thrown out in 3 way tie

No you wont. If Dallas, GB and Seattle are all 12-4 and win their divisions the NFL has to seed each team. Head to head isnt a tie breaker in that scenario BJJ. THe tie breaker is conference record and Seattle has a better conference record so Seattle will win the tie breaker over Dallas.
