Spurs going to triple overtime in back to back games. Has this ever happened in the NBA before? Geez

They are 0-4 in overtimes..

The team is honed to play 48 minutes only lol.... that and their primary players are older and more accustomed to normal regulation time perhaps.

Mike Budenholzer is doing an incredible job in Atlanta. And to think the Suns interviewed him twice after D'Antoni quit and went with Porter instead! :banghead:

Still makes me frustrated...

He isn't always King Midas... but with that bankroll and riverboat gambler mentality, you have to tip a hat. His ability and balls to reshuffle the deck yr in and out is impressive.

Westbrook opts for a 3pt instead of going hard to the ring to draw a foul or a two pointer..... man, this guy's sometimes questionable I.Q prevents him from being a legit MVP candidate in my book.

How does this work? Some team can claim him off waivers or else he's a free agent? If we claimed him off waivers do we have to pay his full salary?

Marc Stein is saying on twitter he's likely to go unclaimed.

Any NBA team can bid whatever amount they want for him and a highest bidder win. Then, a team who got Smith pay him that amount (for example 7.5 mil) while Pistons pay the rest (14 mil - 7.5. mil = 6.5 mil) till the end of his current contract.

No, that's not how it works. You have to pay his full salary.

Yeah I don't think it works like how the amnesty worked. You pick up the contract on waivers or he clears and is a FA.

I've moved on from my josh Smith man crush years ago. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole.

Making an offer to Josh Smith is tempting. If we can get him to play tough D and run the pick and roll to slash to the hoop, then he could really fit in with our team.

...but I think a more likely scenario is seeing him run the pick and roll only to "pop" and shoot 3's. Especially in our offense.

I hope to god Sacramento picks him up. Boogie and Josh Smith on the same team will be like putting two nuclear bombs in front of a speeding semi truck with no breaks.

Josh Smith was waived because he chucked bricks night in and night out.
He basically thinks he is a jump shooter instead of the Marion-type who finishes strong around the rim.

suns don't need him... Plenty of chuckers around already lol.

In seriousness, he'd destroy what ever chemistry the suns have left.
