Seriously though, what do you guys think Wesley Johnson will fetch at the deadline? A late first? Early Second? I feel like our only hope of moving up the draft is to wait for a cap-strapped pseudo contender to initiate a swap so that they don't have to pay their draft pick as much.

Worst case scenario this helps the tank. I wish Ed would be able to stay but you know he's going to opt out. Phoenix needs warm bodied bigs, or so I heard at least. And you know what, it's guys like Warren you need to take a flier on. Teams guard firsts like their first borns these days, and trading for their unwanted first round picks is a much more viable option. Who knows, maybe Warren develops into a Tobias Harris/Vucevic success story, or he becomes a solid player on a nice rookie deal. But it's honestly just a low risk move that shifts the franchise into the right direction.

Edit: Let's just throw Wesley J in there as well to make sure Warren gets minutes. The Suns can uh... release Shavlick Randolph or something.

Suns aren't trading Warren. But if they get desperate enough for a big man, they may trade IT/Shavlick for Jordan Hill. Or maybe Green for Davis?

Ed Davis signed for cheap because his agent threw us a bone for Kobe's mega deal & Boozer amnesty bid. I don't think the Lakers would trade him.

Hill for McCollum, Robinson and a 1st round pick. We get two former lottery picks and a late 1st rounder to help rebuild. Blazers get Hill who they could use with Lopez injured.

What about lin for dragic? Both are expiring and i believe dragic would want a big contract, suns are loaded at pg.

Jeremy Lin to Phoenix for Thomas. Suns will trade him before the deadline so they can re-sign Dragic. To the Lakers would be nice.

So rereading some of the first page replies

Would you guys still refuse a top 5 pick + salary for cousins deal

Seems like he already is playing at a higher level than a lot of these " future franchise bigs' ceiling

And as it turns out I completely forgot the original statement was for Randle. I am a smart man.

Bulls fan here, simple trade:

E'Twaun Moore plus two second round picks (2016 & 2017) for Wes Johnson.

E'Twaun Moore's contract is wholly unguaranteed so it shouldn't disturb your FA plans. Or, if you guys really like him, you can keep him at $1M.

Thought of giving you Tony Snell, but his contract is guaranteed next season so I don't think you guys want him.

Deal or no deal?

Lakers get two PGs who both expire same time as Kobe

Pistons give the keys to the tank to Lin
