The notifications seem to be in works I assume.

The top bar for sports selections is pretty annoying.

We've removed the top bar on the forums.

I would mind having the nav bar at the top if it was just the black bar.

The icons look cool and it's pretty easy to tell what each one represents.

Couldn't we just have the contents/drop down menus in the white bar represented in the icons of the black bar? That way you still have all of the menus, it's more minimalistic and we're taking away less of the viewing area on desktop mode.

Thanks for the prompt fixes dream34 & co. Also, for the personalized team logos, I think they looked better stacked vertically. The sizing of those logos doesn't seem to be consistently sized anymore either. Further, if the vertical stacking were brought back again, I suggest reducing the margin between the user info area and the posts (not sure if that makes sense).

At least you didn't implement this in the middle of the playoffs or on draft day like you've dinewith some upgrades in the past

Ultimately I only care about the forums so please don't mess that up.

The horizontal layout lends better to a responsive design.

Dream34, is the huge header and double wiretaps and then huge ad intentional on the iPad forum view? Give it a try and see if you see what I mean.

The one thing I don't like so far is when browsing on a mobile, I have to scroll back to the top of the page to follow a link back to the forum ie scroll to top to click on a link to go back to trades and transactions when I want read another thread.

The link at the bottom is for index only. If I want to go to the index, I can just tap the grey logo that follows you in the white bar at top of the screen.

Navigation would be easier if the index link was changed to include the sub forum you're currently on.

Also had a few SQL errors but nothing major.

Agree about free pizza.

It figures that Alice in Wonderland would like this....

Someone has a different personal opinion than you? Cry about it.

Its not perfect but I have no doubt it will be tweaked as more users explore and offer feedback instead of just stamping their feet and yelling "I HATE IT".

Btw, the SQL errors you received existed intermittently prior to the upgrade.

patagonia wrote:It looks good. A few things:

1. I can't stand bars up top that don't go away. If i want to find a link to the hockey forums then I can scroll to the top of the page. I don't need them there in perpetuity.

2. Quick reply was great. Can this return?

3. Can we see the pages by the forum titles? It seems my only options now are to go to the first post or the last one unread. Sometimes I like to jump to a particular page.

4. It would be nice if we could still see the posts once we hit the reply button. The entire thread disappears once we go into reply mode.

5. Free pizza would be helpful, too.

- The top bar is gone
- Quick reply is back
- The page numbers are back next to topics.
- You should be able to see posts when replying or quoting someone
- I agree. Do you want to send me a pizza?

At the bottom of a thread, right under the quick reply, you should see a "Return to.." link that brings you back to the forum.

I prefer the quote box to be white, or at the very least standout more than it does now.

Overall, good work.

Thanks.

It just comes up with "Sorry but you are not permitted to use the search system."

Change for no real reason. The logo is very amateurish. Realize with 11 year old forum tech you felt the need to look more modern, but this didn't do it......
