Looks like he made an effort to stop shooting 3s. Now he's trying to keep himself in check.

KD needs to come back and in a hurry. GOATbrook can't do it all.

What a quick turnaround! GOAT with 29/8/6 so far. Their run to come back in the 3rd quarter was pretty fun to watch. So far RW's decision making has been good and except for 2-3 shots I haven't seen any "no,no,no,no!!!" shots from him tonight.

Generally I don't talk about "clutch"... but Lillard, man. Two huge 3s from waaaaay out. Did the same thing against San Antonio the other night.

I'd normally care about the Wizards edit, but this team is to Fing depressing right now to even bother. Don't know what the deal is w/ KD, and they suck w/o him.

GOATBrook (is that still allowed) played a hell of a game tonight from the looks of things. Only caught sporadic parts of the 3rd and 4th quarter, but when his mid range pull up is on he's damn unguardable. I know he's always liked that shot, but it seems like he's actually improved it a bit.

40/10/6, awesome statline, crazy that OKC lost despite it. How did Westbrook look defensively? I know Lillard had a huge game, but that doesn't necessarily say anything about Westy's D.

Team needs Durant in the worst way.

GOATbrook is definitely not allowed after tonight lol.
Give me Lillard over him in any 4th quarter.

This guy had the Thunder up by 10 with a minute & a half to go & they ended up losing.
What sparked the quick Blazer comeback you ask? Well... at the 1:33 mark Westbrook fouls Lillard AND picks up a tech.. easy 3 points for Lillard.
Up 2 & fouled in the last 2 seconds... Westbrook goes 1/2 from the line.. only up 3. Gives Blazers a chance to tie with a 3... Lillard connects off the inbound.
OT... Russ fouls out.
He's just way too aggressive sometimes & he loves to pad his stats, he can score like crazy I get it, but he's also burdened by his brain. The guy was ball-hawking rebound off teammates, you could definitely see him dying for that double-double when he had 9 rebounds.
Westbrook is mighty talented... but he can be so much more.. probably under a different coach or some teammates that'll set his head straight. He's out of control without KD there, it's just the thing about Russell Westbrook is that can be both good & bad.

Yeah, GOATbrook is dead. Man, I'm not even looking forward to the Xmas game, don't know if I'll bother watching at this rate, he's not playing well, for some reason Ish played 13 minutes, and they can't buy a win. Playoffs?!?! Still in question to me again as the schedule will get way tougher.

Naw, that's premature. He had a bad game and he wasn't even bad until the end of it. He was pretty darn good when OKC made its comeback and his decision making was fine until the last 90 seconds.

I am not gonna argue for the GOATbrook title change because it must suck having KD out but I will request that if and when OKC makes the playoffs you change the title again :).

We'll see if that happens, I'm doubtful of it to be honest.

You have been pessimistic all season long, I don't blame you one bit but they still only have two more losses than NOLA.

Westbrook just loses all train of thought in close 4th quarters. Every time.

3 games back of PHX, with a way harder upcoming schedule and a team who seems lost. Noone playing well, can't close, just awful. First time in ages I don't look forward to games anymore.

IMO it's coaching or lack of and fatigue. His stat splits are opposite when you compare his 1st quarters vs. 4th quarters. His next step on his path to GOATness has to be learning how to pace himself. He still goes full-speed every single minute and he IS 26 with 3 knee surgeries. Yeah, he looks more athletic after every knee surgery but still, dude's gotta learn how to pace himself.
