I believe I found the issue and put in a temporary solution, but a permanent fix will have to wait until I hear back from our server admin. Fingers crossed.

Interdasting. Your temporary fix has rolled the behavior, for me, back to pre-update behavior, and introduced something new.

I can now log in successfully, without generating a captcha, only when the option "remember me" is toggled. When that option is not toggled, the login attempt fails with no error (just reloads the login page). For me, this is the same as the behavior has always been, before the update.

The new behavior is that now, when I attempt to log out, I get:

"You were not logged out, as the request did not match your session. Please contact the board administrator if you continue to experience problems."

The page then shortly reloads to the index page.


Additionally, when I attempt to submit a post after the failed logout, I get a "The submitted form is invalid" error.

Hm. Spoilering that last for posterity, but the behaviors therein described seem to have vanished. Logging in and out appears to be working normally at the moment (for me).

In addition to the crap layout, i didnt get a notification when my post was just quoted. Im getting weird error messages every time i turn around, and i have no idea what the hell happened the couple times i tried to and1 a post, seems like it didnt take

so yea, pretty much a trainwreck. Disappointing that it appears browsing this site might have suddenly become highly frustrating for no good reason whatsoever

Relax. We are still working out parts of the new notification system. Hang in there with us.

Post counts and And1 totals are still under under user names on wider screens and can be viewed on profiles on smaller devices.

im not seeing and1 totals on user profiles, only post counts. And why arent both viewable under usernames on smaller devices? Is that not possible? I thought that was a pretty essential aspect of the old format

Tell me about it..I post pretty much just on tapatalk. and using the browser also takes a hit on battery life too.

Not a fan of the new look and some things are still a bit wonky but will undoubtedly be worked out. I'll get used to it at some point.

What I do like is the unread posts section....that way I don't need to go to forum after forum I visit.

dream, you likely know this and just have it down the priority queue, but here goes: the entire notification UI is busted for me. (I'm on iPad, don't have desktop handy at moment)

1. Once I bring up the notifications pop up it cannot dismiss it. Edit: I can dismiss if I click the notifications link. Typically popups that are menu-like dismiss if you click anywhere outside them.
2. Clicking the post approval notify items does not take me to them.
3. Mark all read does nothing.
4. Settings link goes to error page.

Notifications should be working now, except for And1 notifications.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I really like the new Favicon.

Outside of the diamond, I feel like the logo could probably be improved. Too much gray, not enough contrast. I'm not even sure that the 'Real GM' needs to be displayed.

ETA - The 'Tickets' icon and link should not displayed where it is displayed. It is displayed as if it is a central part of this site, just like the forums. It might just be because I am slightly OCD, but that feels completely wrong to me. Maybe left align all the links except 'Tickets,' right align 'Tickets' with the icon to the right of the text? Make it a little smaller maybe...

You used to be able to "undo" an And-1 by clicking the button again, but now that it disappears once you've clicked it that functionality appears to be gone. Not a major issue, just wanted to point it out.

Design might be cleaner if the and1 button wasn't present for your own posts either.

Can you bring the YELLOW back to the notification when you get one?

I just realized I had one from yesterday because I didn't notice it. When its yellow, it gets your attention.

And there's way too much stuff on the top. I don't need to know the wiretap for bunch of sports, I can click on those separately if I need to. Can you please clear the clutter at the top? It doesn't make sense that I have to scroll all the way down to read the first post of the page.
