Remember when

We were talking about an 11-5 team missing the playoffs? That is Mo longer an issue, Eagles took care of that.

But could you imagine if we win 12 games? Even the most optimistic of us could not have expected that. A lot of people associated with this team should be very proud of themselves this year. 12 wins (or even 11) and the division is quite a feat. Hoping for AT LEAST one playoff win. Two wins would be great and would go along way towards getting rid of the reputation Romo has of not being able to win the important games. If we play like we did last week we really can beat whomever lines up across from us.

I listen to 1310 out of Dallas, and I swear, that seemed to be one scenario they just didn't talk about. The assumption seemed to be that there was no way this wouldn't come down to week 17. I don't think they were the only ones that felt that way, but I'm sure glad a lot of folks were wrong.

Nope. Even me the optimist figured 9 or 10 MAYBE 11 wins. Never considered 12 or even a shot at 12.

Have you read the 6-10ers on the hoop. There beating up on a Seahawk fan saying Dallas won't win the rematch if it happens. Funny those naysayers are now fully on board the wagon.

8-8 was my optimistic prediction for the season after our record setting Defense lost the best players on defense..... Lee, Ware, and Hatcher.

I almost went to exactly that point in that thread on the general NFL board, but decide to sit on my other post on the Dallas board on the topic.

I predicted 7-9, & worried the worst when Lee went down.
So no matter what I am happy with how this season turned out. Now I am just waiting to see how far we can stretch out this season & how wrong I will be! I still worry about the defense but the coaching staff has definitely improved this year. On a side note I think the best thing to might have happened to us. Is the loss to the Eagles. Noticed we have done some changes to play calling since then, & we are playing an elevated level since then as well. Now it could be coincident, but I am going to believe we learned something from that A$S kicking, & it helped to improve the team. After eating a big ol' helping of crow, I find myself optimistic about the playoffs.

I'm optimistic as well this time cause I think it's different team in Dallas. Their attitude, focus and togetherness hasn't been seen for many seasons. Looking forward to it.
