Are Kings fans loyal to a fault?

Post#1 » by KF10 » Fri Dec 26, 2014 10:36 pm

Sacramento Kings fans remain loyal despite years of instability, losing

For me personally, I became a true Kings fan (shifting to casual to die hard) in 2005. I sometimes wonder to myself why I'm still a Kings fan lol other than the 05/06 playoff years, the Kings are terrible ever since I watched them closely. Are we loyal to a fault? I say, we are. I will support them no matter what. :banghead:

That was a pretty good read. I think this franchise does still have one of the most rabid fanbases

No I don't think so, everyone has limits.

The NBA lost a lot of long time fans after getting screwed in the Western Conference Finals.

The Maloof charades cost the franchise some fans too.

If I had to guess from 98 before the turn around, to today, we've got a lot less fans in the city than we used to because of a few things.

I'll answer this:

The Kings aren't selling out this season. I'll say attendance has been better. Interest is up, but really there are a few loyal fans that are carrying the masses right now. So no we're not too loyal as an entire city. I have been a season ticket holder since 06-07 and I just started buying gear to go to the games.

The pretty single ladies aren't in the Cantina at halftime...There isn't talk among casual sport fans. The 9ers have more headlines in today's paper than the Kings. I don't want to hear about the popularity of football v basketball. The 9ers aren't in Sacramento.

Grant's show is uninformative. He takes WAY TOO MANY calls from dumb listeners just to call them out and hang up on them. I mean what's the purpose? We don't have the best media coverage for this team.

The honeymoon period ended with the Malone firing. This team better win and soon!

when i was younger, i used to love watching the jordan bulls team and it was like everyones team back in our country. but when mj retired i actually started rooting for the lakers to have that first championship with shaq and kobe.. then i saw how the kings played back then and instantly loved how they played and just like that hated the lakers because of that rivalry.. since then i would say that i have been a loyal kings fan even though they have sucked for a long time now.. i like watching some other teams especially durant and westbrook but i still go back to the kings and follow every single news about the team... i do agree that this team needs to start winning soon if they still want to have the great local fans back..i would say the kings fans back in the day made the kings.. i loved how passionate the fans were and they just packed the arena every single game..now the warriors fans have one of the best fans in the nba..winning will do that..and hopefully this team starts winning again.
