They have dropped something like 5 in a row recently and if the Williams trade falls through and they dont get a premier PG, then it wont be long before they have a disgruntled Cousins on their hands.
Of course, Boston would need a premier PG to go with a Cousins so they would have to find a way to get one, and the most accessible talented PG will likely be Reggie Jackson, who is the type of combo guard Ainge loves.
Thats who I expect Boston to go after. How they piece it together...I leave to the trade experts.
Where'd you hear that rumor? I don't remember it.. Cousins could want out, although I don't see it happening yet. He maxed up, he's been a good soldier since USA Basketball.. More would have to go wrong, and I'd be shocked if he didn't get a superstar trade package.
That said, Green, Sully, and 1sts is a price I'd pay.
Sacramento's not really regressing, by the way- they were losing because Cousins was out with some kind of injury (meningitis?). Collison has been a home run, Landry has been healthy and decent, Mclemore's blossoming- Gay is being put in the right spots and producing well.
