The Rockets have given coach Kevin McHale a three year, 13M contract extension! Congratulations, Coach!

Given what he's done this year, he deserves it although i'd rather not sign him 3 more years. 3 years is a lifetime coaching in the NBA.

But Mchale does give us an advantage when it comes to free agent recruiting. He's respected league wide and has connection with everyone. Remember Mchale was also the coach who gave Dragic his big break after the Dragon stumbled in Phoenix. That gotta count for something.

A big reason this was done right now is because the team is doing well and management doesn't want a lame coach situation effecting the club's performance this season. The contract McHale got is pretty cheap so it's not like we are stuck with him if things go south.

This FEELS all warm and fuzzy now but I hope he is not the coach in two to three years from now. We were so out coached in the play-offs.

i see players moving around instead of standing at hte 3pt line driving and kicking. and whoever the new defensive coach is they got. as long as this keep sup and improves im all for it.

not his fault when players can't make free throw nor keep turning the ball over
the read and react offense is more morey than mchale imo
we should waive dorsey and sign jermaine o'neal
