Listening to a homeless person
Going by the Browns board I go on, their GM had done a huge amount of scouting the quarterbacks and wanted Bridgewater. A homeless person told the Browns owner they wanted Johnny. One of Carr, Johnny, and Bridgewater would likely be available at 26, but the Browns decided to trade a third round pick away to move up 4 spots and draft what is looking like the wrong one as of right now. Basically this would mean a homeless person who may have no idea what they're talking about decided one of their draft picks. Has something like this ever happened before?

Well this is pretty big speculation. Also, I think it is FAR too early to deem Manziel a bust. Bridgewater and Bortles have had their struggles at times too. You have to give a guy time. Manning and Aikman were pretty bad as rookies too.

If a guy looks THIS bad early, it's generally a sign that they're going to suck.
Once again the Browns let their fanbase dictate their picks. Did it with Brady Quinn too.

Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Bridgewater has been playing much better towards the end of the season. Usually a very good sign. At this point I expect Bridgewater and Garappollo to be the two best, Carr to be mediocre, and Johnny to be a bust. There is also talk that Farmer(the Browns' GM) did not want their first pick either(Gilbert, who's not looking great either). Undrafted free agents have looked good and a few of their other draft picks have looked good as well. The quarterback can be addressed through free agency. I still have confidence in the team.

It was the worst pick that Browns ever made. Bridgewater will win more playoff games for the Vikings than Johnny College Football will win regular season games.

Re: Listening to a homeless person
Johnny could be a bust or end up a good qb. It is WAY too early. He has played 1 1/2 games, maybe a little bit more. A guy really probably needs a season and a half for you to determine if he is a complete bust. I would say a season but you never know how hard they will work, learn and improve and come back and do.
For example, I get all Texans games living in Austin, and I thought Case Keenum looked like he could turn into a decent qb last season, despite him losing...they lost tons of close games for many different reasons, so when they went out and signed Fitzpatrick it was a headscratcher to me because I thought Keenum would at a minimum become serviceable for a good defense and running game, and maybe turn out pretty good.
It is unbelievable how quick to judgement people are on draft picks early. With qbs it is obviously important, but this is still VERY early.

Re: Listening to a homeless person
The owner didn't know that the homeless guy was at one of Johnny's parties the night before.

Why sell results when your fans will gladly buy hope? The Browns are merchants of hope, the JFF pick was brilliant from a business standpoint.

Re: Listening to a homeless person
Bridgewater is the best QB from the draft. Luckily for us Minnesotan fans he fell to 32 for us
I mean.. .there's a reason the guy is homeless... it's not his intelligence
