The West got better. But their injuries came in January/February and they had a 19 game winning streak when they got healthy.

Kawhi Leonard is the key. Without him, they might miss the playoffs.

Patty Mills should be back this week or next week. He'll be a big key to let Ginobili have more options when the 2nd unit comes in.

Dude can flat out shoot - and he had 4 steals. I didn't think he was athletic enough to be effective in the NBA, but he's proven me wrong.

SAS' last ten is 3-7. That's unusual record.

.
Detroit, without Josh Smith, went into Cleveland and killed the Cavs 103-80.

Cavs played without Kyrie....but come on, Detroit had 6 whole wins coming into the game.

Apparently, Josh was the inside-job Pistons killer.

Lebron doesn't look like he's enjoying basketball right now.

Jodie Meeks also came back- I believe the Pistons set a franchise record for 3 pointers.

The Cavs were a trainwreck defensively BEFORE Varejao was hurt. Now it's only exacerbated. I've watched enough of them to know they're prone to getting blown out whenever their not hitting shots.

Smith with a bizarre night in another Houston loss. He played 26 minutes going 10-20 from the field and was still -19, worst on the team by far.

Wiggins has been playing well lately. The Cavs could really end up regretting that trade. Seems like everything they do turns to mud.

In the battle of the Zellers, Cody surprised older bro Tyler in resounding fashion leading Charlotte to victory - making all 8 of his FG's and all 4 of his foul shots. We'll see if the light turned on for Cody - like it seemed to for Tyler this season.

Brandan Wright has done practically squat for Boston since the trade from Dallas - and Jae Crowder is actually getting significantly more playing time. I think this is as low as we'll see Wright's trade value.

High-larious. They lost to Philly last night.

Oh and I guess Irving and Waiters are not going to be the best young backcourt in the league.

Don't look now but the Pistons are 5-0 since releasing Josh Smith, up slightly in the 4th vs SAS tonight. Drummond is back to being a force of nature, just in his last five games he has averaged in 31 minutes 14 points and 17 boards with 2 blocks. This reminds me a little of the Rudy Gay trade for Toronto last year, the difference is Gay wasn't a complete dumpster fire like Smith is. Just goes to show addition by subtraction can go a long way.

And for what its worth (and this is early to be taking about it) I would much rather play Cleveland than Detroit in a 7 game series in the playoffs. I know no one wants to deal with Lebron and the refs in the first round, but Detroit's massive size and skill in the starting front court is something the Wiz would have trouble with.

There's a reason Cody Zeller (and Otto Porter) went so high in the draft. I bet Cody's play came as no surprise to big brother.

As far as Wright and Dejuan Blair are concerned lack of familiarity with playing time statistics or other metrics breeds not contempt but rather, blissfully ignorant coaching. Could also simply be the numbers game. Other guys were there first, and the coach sticks with tried and true.

Wright is really good. Certainly a better player (with skills the Wiz could use, any team for that matter) than Crowder (but Jae is in the right spot to get minutes).
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:
