I'm kinda surprised that our only move so far has been trading Tolliver for cap space.

How bout this simple trade...
Suns get-
Enes Kanter

Jazz get-
Goran Dragic
Ed Davis
Minnesota's pick

Lakers get-
Trey Burke

The Suns get bigger, and I think we could try to plug in Kanter at the PF spot. The Jazz need a veteran leader, and an upgrade at PG. Who says no?

We say no. Dragic's value is WAY higher than Kanter.

Check out this article on Brightside explaining a few trade candidates and how they would or wouldnt fit on the Suns.

http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2014/12/26/7450433/possible-trade-scenarios-phoenix-suns-ryan-anderson-larry-sanders-kevin-love

The point he makes about Kanter is spot on. Kanter has decent offense, but his defense is pretty bad. With Lens current play, i would consider Kanter a downgrade from what we already have.

I think at this point we need to look at our SF spot more than anywhere. We need a good starting SF, one that is a 2-way player. The 2nd position we should look at is SG, but thats only in the event that we trade Dragic. After those two, our back-up PF rotation is pretty weak (I mean we have been using Tucker). Adding Kanter (a C, nothing else) is bad, specially at the expense of Dragic.

One stupid trade before bed:

Suns trade:
IT/Plumlee
Suns get:
Gibson/Biyombo

Len/Biyombo
Gibson/Morris
Tucker/Morris/Warren
Dragic/Green/Goodwin
Blesoe/Dragic/Ennis

Add front court depth. Both Biyombo and Gibson are bangers who can rebound and play D. Clears the glut at the PG slot and keeps Dragic happy. Gibson as a great contract that will only get better with the cap increase.

Bulls trade:
Gibson/Dunleavy
Bulls get:
Stephenson/Plumlee

Bulls trade their glut up front for some backcourt depth. Stephenson could do very well with the discipline.

Hornets trade:
Stephenson/Biyombo
Bobcats get:
Bass/Dunleavy/Clippers Pick

Hornets hit reset on Stephenson. Expirings and a late pick isnt that bad a haul for him atm.

Celtics trade:
Bass/Clippers Pick
Celtics get:
IT

Celtics get a replacement in the backcourt for Rondo's departure. IT/Smart would be interesting.

1 small trade that doesnt really accomplish all that much:

Blazers get Plumlee
Suns get Robinson

Blazers get an "interim" starting C while Lopez is out (and a good back-up for when he comes back).

Suns unite Team FOE and run Robinson as Len's back-up.

I prefer Plumlee over Robinson, he is not big enough to play center constantly even coming of the bench.
Robinson for Shavlik....I am all for that trade.Nothing more for Robinson

Hey, im still a fan of getting Hibbert, but re-read my post. I have nothing in there of obtaining Hibbert. The team at the bottom was what Indiana would be rebuilding around.

Next season we would be:

Bledsoe/Ennis
Tucker/Goodwin
George/Morris
Morris/??????
Len/Plumlee

My bad. I just saw Hibbert and stopped reading

You guys don't think we should let Warren develop? I am cool on Archie and even Ennis, but Warren looks to have it on O. How did Butler become Butler and George become George? Those guys weren't heralded; they were given an opportunity and seized it. I want to see Warren as a starter before I even think about trading him for some so so players; and that's the only thing we will be getting in the trades....so so players.

No need to talk to Traxx, what we need and are hoping for is not available, but let the rosterbation continue.

I really like Warren and I think he will develop into our starting SF in the next few years, probably the next one. He has to gain muscle and understand the defensive schemes better and he will be fine.

I'd consider trading Warren in a package for George, not Harris. I think it's a shame we're not playing him. A rookie Paul George and a rookie Tobias Harris would not have cracked this Suns rotation, given our depth and the way Hornacek runs things. With Tucker and Marcus under contract for next season, TJ won't be handed his minutes the way Alex has been.

In the JMac camp on this one....

I could see McDo making a play for Sullinger. He and Keif would be a nice 1-2 at PF. A little move that could solidify the bench. Does IT and a pick get him ? Or do we have to eat some Wallace in the process?

Isn't Sullinger a bit redundant with Markieff? I thought they were similar players.

Yeah, that's a problem. They wouldn't work well on the court together. Also, Marcus is doing a great job as our backup PF of late.

We need one more rotation big, but I'm thinking somebody who's at least 6-10 and can play the 4 or the 5. Someone we could slide in next to either Markieff or Len. Sullinger doesn't work. Olynyk does, but he's unlikely to be available.

Sullinger is a inside presence... I wonder why Stevens is using him nearly as a stretch 4.
I'd be ok with starting at 4 (huge advantage on the boards compared to Kieff), but only if he isnt jacking up 3's all the time.
Considering it, it'd be highly unlikely.

I really like Gibson for our 4 spot... even at 5.
He's total upgrade over Kieff.

To be honest, if the opportunity comes, I'd ship both Morrii, IT and some picks for an All Star PF.
