WTF?

Post#1 » by Griff83 » Mon Jun 18, 2007 4:52 am

so Chin Ming Wang throws a great 8 innings in which his team has a 8-1 lead going into the ninth. So Torre sends Wang out there to finish the game in the ninth. He gives up a ground rule double followed by a single that cashed in Castro. He then got Wright to ground into a double play. So there is 2 outs and the Yankees are up 8-2 and Wang is one out away from a complete game and he pulls him?

why not just let him get the last batter out Torre

If you leave Wang in too long, there can be consequences.

at least give the guy one shot at closing the game out(and if he cant get him out, then pull him), they were winning 8-2 and he was very capable of getting at least one more guy out.

Torre should have let him get the CG

HAR.

I think Torre threw out his LOOGY so he could go home and go to sleep. It makes at least as much sense as any of his other moves.

He's on my fantasy team and I really needed that complete game.

Sometimes you just have to pull Wang out sooner than you'd like.

Oh, I get it: penis jokes! Let me try!

Maybe Torre just doesn't like seeing his Wang get slapped around like that.

FUN!

Wang was getting a little sore from being up that long.

I'm trying to figure out how many of these are jokes and how man are serious. My best guess is Johnson isn't in town anymore, you can't lose your Wang too.

Letting Wang do all the thinking never leads to good decisions.

Uhhh...

Wang was getting stiff from all the extra tosses and it showed as he got slapped around something fierce.
