Fire the GM, fire the coach. Get someone who will run the ball, like the Cowboys. I wouldn't mind Rex Ryan.

We get the 8th pick in the draft? I guess we should take the best defensive player available.

7th pick.

Fire everybody from Trestman, Emery and Phillips.

Let the new crew evaluate the roster and go from there. I can live with Cutler being here but he cannot be a part of the **** interview process like last time.

Worst Bears season in my life by far. I would like to see them clean house. Not sure ownership is willing to write that check. But no way ANY of that coaching staff can return. The entire season was like a clown car and Trestman was driving.

I say clean house.

Most likely, we're stuck with Jay Cutler, so get Mike Shanahan as the head coach, but get Rex Ryan as defensive coordinator.

If someone wants Jay Cutler (say, the Titans), make the trade, then go with Rex Ryan as the head coach.

Then, I'd see about trading the #7 pick overall to the Browns for the #12 and #19 picks - get two impact players as opposed to one.

Fire Emery and Trestman. Move Teddy out of football operations. Hire a Polian or Parcells tupe as President of Football Ops. Have them hire a GM and coach. Trade Cutler.

I'm thinking the Arizona Cardinals could be a destination for Cutler. Arians wanted to coach Cutler last time and they desperately need a QB.

I know it wasn't all checkdowns, but you know your offense is dog* when Forte has 102 catches that does not help in the end. Good riddance to the so called "Trest coast offense". Time to bring back the Shanny O with zone run + good ole play action plays.

Great... maybe they'll cough up a first-rounder.

I doubt it since they just gave Palmer a brand new deal.

Palmer's career is likely done.

Doesn't Jay Cutler have a lengthy deal?

Cutler for Stanton and a 2nd-rounder.

Yea but I think his contract gave him a lot of guaranteed money, so idk if the owner will want to pay so much money to the QB position

I've have been defending Cutler all this time. Not everything was his fault.

But after the firings of Trestman and Emery... I will try to move Cutler too. Try to clean all this mess and really begin from the ground.

And in the case that they can not trade him. The hiring of the new HC can't be conditioned by Jay. Bring the best HC for the franchise, not just the best HC that could fit better with Jay.

They gave this guy 50 million bucks over three years two days before he tore his ACL:

Not sure they'd give up anything for another high priced qb.

Palmer's career is likely done.

Their GM said this yesterday:

Code: Select all

Keim said rehabbing quarterback Carson Palmer is doing well and is “as fired up as ever” to play in 2015. “He’s very excited about the future here,” Keim said. “I think it goes back to show you, when you go through some injuries, how valuable Carson Palmer really was. The guy was having an excellent year. I think he’ll have a little bit of a chip on his shoulder, and he’ll be ready to prove some people wrong.”
I think it’s pretty clear that Palmer will be the No. 1 in 2015, barring something crazy happening in the offseason.
