Seeding Question
Why does Seattle get the #1 seed? I know that it goes by conference record but then Arizona is ahead of Detroit because of a head to head game. I thought it was always head to head first? Is head to head for everything but the #1 seed?

Re: Seeding Question
I believe since the packers and Seahawks were tied with 5-1 for division records it goes to conference record next which seattle was better than Green Bay in. DAllas had a 4-2 division Record and even worse conference record

If there is a 3 way tie it goes by Conference record.

Ahh. Thanks guys. I feel like head to head should trump all. Oh well. Someone better go into Seattle and win.

Problem with head to head is there are more than 2 teams. Seahawks beat packers and Cowboys beat Seahawks. However Cowboys and packers didn't play eachother this year.

Cardinals/Seahawks/Cowboys/Packers are all in the playoffs for the NFC.

God I can't wait till this entire season is over and we can move on.

The only team I don't want to see win it is Seattle. We will have to endure a whole offseason about how they are the greatest NFL team in history and Russell Wilson is god.

Re: Seeding Question
This link kills me:
http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures
It says absolutely nothing about tie-breaking procedures for actual playoff seeding. It talks about breaking a tie within a division (only relevant to determining the division winner), and how to break ties for the wild card. It appears the procedure is the same as that applied to wild cards, though. Sucks.
